Introduction

After years of planning, Mocha Cafe was started in 2023. This happend when two friends turned family decided to build a cafe that felt serene, tranquil, and was in every angle Instagram-worthy.

Since they've started, the cafe has built a following of its own. Friends and family often come to experience the cafe's peace and warm vibe. It offered great cuisine with fun activities such as board games and also held live music at times. For its customers, it wasn't just a cafe, rather it was a place where they could come to relax and reflect.

The cafe holds roughly 190 online reviews with an average of 4.5+ across 2 platforms. From what we've read so far, it's clear that their total online reviews don't justify what they have at offer. This is a situation where you have something great to offer, but it isn't packaged and presented well on the digital front.

As classic as any business would do in this situation, Mocha Cafe got the idea and started running ads on Instagram to solve their challenge, but the money being burned when compared to the returns wasn't as expected; that's due to their online credibility or let's say the digital foundation not being super solid yet.

Challenges Faced

Despite providing great cuisine and ambience which can even give the biggest coffee chains a run for their money. What they lacked was a solid online presence and community which was crucial to bringing more customers around their location and also from far away.

The problem statement was simple, they needed to package and present themselves well online. If this gets taken care of, they knew, the footfall will organically increase.

In bulletin points, if we speak of their challenges or what they wanted to achieve going further:

  • To improve their credibility by increasing the number of online customer reviews.
  • To provide multiple options to a customer when collecting reviews, such as text, audio, and video.
  • To showcase their cuisine and ambiance through video testimonials.
  • To have a dedicated landing page that can be added as a website to their Google Business Profile.
  • To have multiple touchpoints to collect reviews from a customer.
  • To build an online presence that justifies what they have at offer.
  • To expect better results when running Instagram ads going further.

Solution

Feedspace recently partnered with two cafes, Mayo Cafe and House of Heugah. Once we had realized how useful Feedspace can be for cafes, we started looking out for more, and that's when we came across Mocha Cafe. After visiting the cafe, and looking at it from a customer's perspective, we did not understand why this hadn't shot up yet.

We soon connected with one of its founders and presented Feedspace. He liked the value proposition Feedspace offered, and most importantly he also understood that it can make their lives easy while solving most of their challenges. This led to the deal being closed within a few hours.

The Mocha Cafe founders knew that they had a solid offering, and now it's a matter of connecting a few dots to make it reach more people. With Feedspace, they knew it was now possible to achieve that smoothly.

Once the deal was closed, the first thing we did was to set up the tool. A couple of solutions came into the picture through this:

  • We created the all-in-one form that allowed them to capture customer reviews in audio, video, and textual formats.

  • We created their Wall-of-Love through which they can now showcase all of their best reviews from multiple platforms.

  • We updated their POS(Point-of-Sales) software by adding a QR code to their bill receipt, this QR code directed customers to their all-in-one form.

  • We provided them with a physical QR code to collect reviews, and this was placed nearby to their billing counter.
  • We suggested they add a link to the all-in-one form in their Instagram bio.

Implementation and Impact

Once we implemented a couple of things to address their current challenges. The next step was to see the real-time results they'd be getting going further, a few notable ones in that are:

  • They now had multiple touchpoints to collect a review. One is the physical QR code near their billing counter, the other is a link/QR in their digital bill, and the last one is a link in their Instagram bio(yet to be added).
  • They now had a dedicated landing page added as a website to their Google Business Profile. This would help them improve their credibility while also leading to more footfall.
  • The tool provided them with an online workstation, and with this they were now able to collect, import, showcase, and manage their reviews end-to-end over our secure cloud server.
  • They now had access to an all-in-one form, with this they were able to provide multiple options to a customer to collect their reviews, be it text, audio, or video.
  • Feedspace opened a window of marketing opportunities. For example, they can now keep a review collection QR code on every table or near the billing counter. State that customers will get a discount on their next/current order if they give a review. 5%,10%, and 15% respectively for text, audio, and video reviews.
  • Since their total online reviews were bound to increase with the help of Feedspace, they can soon expect much better results from their Instagram ads.
  • Going further with video testimonials, they wanted their customers to not show their faces, and use the main camera to show the food and ambiance in front of them. This ensured two things, one is customer's privacy (increasing chances to get more video testimonials), and the other is to showcase the aesthetics of their food and cafe.

Conclusion

After a lot of years of waiting, the dream of two friends came to fruition when they finally opened Mocha Cafe. Since then, they have taken care of it like their baby and made the place feel like a second home to their customers. Even if Mocha Cafe is fairly new to the game, being around 1.5 years old. Don't let the age fool you, the founders of this cafe are extremely passionate about what they do, as much as NASA is about space exploration.

The cafe offered a great ambiance, solid cuisine, and excellent customer service, and it also provided board games with live music often. When we think about it, we get a thought in our mind, "Well! They deserve to go big!". That's true, but success in the digital era favors the ones who can package and present themselves well online. Mocha Cafe lacked that, or let's say, they lacked that on a wide scale and were reaching there slowly.

Now with Feedspace, Mocha Cafe was able to solve most of their challenges to march towards their vision on a wide scale. They now provide multiple review options to a customer while also having multiple touchpoints for the same. They have a dedicated landing page which is a Wall-of-Love containing all of their best reviews. Lastly, Feedspace opened a variety of marketing opportunities alongside improved credibility.

Macho Cafe's vision was to create a place that felt warm and inviting. With that being achieved, what's left is to package and showcase themselves much better online. With Feedspace, it's possible now.
