Introduction

Ocean Dust Cafe was opened in December 2024, Yes, that's hardly a month and a half ago. The cafe was started with one main goal, and that is to provide a nautical dining experience to its customers while being a picture-perfect heaven to Influencers. It's the only cafe offering such a unique experience around its perimeter. Starting from their door knobs, ceiling, walls, tables, and chairs, everything which your eyes can absorb, will teleport you into a nautical world and makes you feel like a sailor dining with the sea.

Since their inception, they have gathered 64 reviews on Google with an average of 4.7+. The cafe has also stayed active on Instagram with over 72 posts showcasing the cuisine, ambiance, and activities they've hosted so far including live music and birthday parties.

Ocean Dust Cafe is an experience that if someone comes across online, would want to give a visit. Also, the cafe currently has a good amount of footfall considering they're one and a half months old. Most of the footfall is from word-of-mouth marketing. This was a great sign to the owner, that he had a proof of concept at hand, and he knew, now it's all about making it visible to many.

With this thought, he wanted to go loud and clear by showing the world that they've arrived. For that, the first thought that came to his mind was to run Instagram ads for visibility. They initiated that by recording reels and using them to run ads with the hopes of capturing many eyes to get high walk-ins.

Challenges Faced

The cafe indeed offered wonderful food ranging from mocktails, Italian, Mexican, desserts, and more. If we speak of the food, it was perfect. Now coming to ambience and crowd, that was perfect too. It's commendable that they had figured out their basics in less than two months.

With the fundamentals being clear, the next step for them was to put themselves out there to be seen and validated by new customers. In a nutshell, the problem statement was to improve the credibility, visibility, and revenue.

Now let's jolt down the immediate challenges they wanted to solve:

  • To increase their total online reviews and also to capture reviews across multiple platforms.
  • To make their customer feel at ease by providing multiple options to get their reviews, such as text, audio, and video.
  • To improve their overall Google Business Profile by adding more pictures, and videos, and also by having a dedicated landing page to gain onlooker's trust.
  • To create multiple touchpoints to get a customer's review without annoying them.
  • To build online credibility which provides solid customer perception with the new ones.
  • To showcase greatly on the digital front, to expect better results from Instagram ads.
  • To invest in long-term growth, such as over tools that can make their lives easy and also help them build a business that stands the test of time.

Solution

The cafe has organically gathered 444 Instagram followers as speak of, but establishing themselves in the online space isn't gonna be a cakewalk. We know that 0 to 1 is the hardest if compared to 1 to 10, when building any aspect of a new business.

After our recent partnership with Mocha Cafe, we came across this unique place that offered nautical vibes that we hadn't seen before. Our brain did what it's best at, we connected the dots and approached the cafe's owner to explain the value Feedspace can add to their young cafe's growth.

After a few meetings, the owner decided to go ahead with Feedspace and subscribed to our yearly plan. Once the deal was closed, we set up a couple of things to solve their crucial challenges, speaking of them in detail:

  • We selected and imported their best reviews out of 64 in Google, and created their Wall-of-Love to which these were added.

  • We integrated their Wall-of-Love link to their Google Business Profile and showcased it as their dedicated landing page/website.

  • We set up their customized all-in-one review collection form, which contained descriptions along with options to give audio, video, and text reviews from one page.

  • We created a QR code that was connected to the all-in-one form, and we then provided two design variations for the physical version of the QR code, to cater to different touchpoints.
  • We suggested they add a link to the all-in-one form in their Instagram bio and we also suggested they use their Wall-of-Love link while running paid ads.

Implementation and Impact

After our initial setup, the next step was to observe the results they'd make going further. Here are a few notable impacts we've observed so far:

  • They quickly changed their old POS software due to issues, and we updated their new POS software to print bills with QR codes for capturing reviews, this added a new touchpoint to them.
  • We created two unique designs of the physical QR code to create two more touchpoints. One was placed near the billing counter and the other was kept inside the waiter's book that contains bills, both designs were uniquely done to grab the viewer's attention while considering the background it was in.
  • The customers now felt more at ease to give a review as they had three options to choose from, audio, video, and text. This helped to increase the chances of getting a review when compared to before.
  • Their Google Business Profile now has better credibility, with the new landing page/website that shows their best reviews from one place. This helped them build trust with netizens.
  • They were introduced and trained on the Feedspace workstation. They can now collect, import, showcase, and manage reviews from one place with our dedicated cloud server.
  • Going further, they want to use video testimonials in their Instagram ads, considering it receive good traction according to current marketing trends.

Despite their age, the online credibility that they can now build with Feedspace, in the next 6 months, is something even cafes that are 2 years old would struggle to.

Conclusion

With tons of aesthetic cafes popping up each day, we can agree that Ocean Dust Cafe has a uniqueness of its own to stand out. It's the kind of place you'd want to visit when you come across online. The hard part, such as creating a place with great ambiance and food was already taken care of before they met us.

The next step for them was to make it reach more people organically. What's crucial is, that when it does reach someone, and they decide to look it up, the cafe should showcase credibility to convince the viewer to visit, they currently lack that.

With Feedspace in the picture, most of their crucial challenges were coming to an end, and it also geared them up for their growth. It helped them with visibility, credibility, and better revenue. It made their life easy, and it'll continue to do so every day going further.
