If you have been wondering whether you can switch a widget from Carousel to Masonry, or to any other layout, you are in the right place. The widget type is chosen at the moment you create a widget, and that setting stays with the widget going forward. The good news is that Feedspace gives you a fast, flexible path to try a different layout without losing any of your existing work.

Your Options for Changing the Layout

Because the widget type is fixed at creation, the recommended approach is to use the Duplicate Widget feature. Duplicating copies your current review selection into a new widget and prompts you to choose a fresh layout type during the process. This means you can experiment with a different presentation style while your original widget stays live and untouched.

Option 1: Duplicate the Widget and Select a New Type

This is the quickest path and is ideal when you want to compare layouts or test something new before committing to a change.

Open the Widgets section in your Feedspace dashboard.
Find the widget you want to recreate in a different layout and click the Duplicate option.
When prompted, choose the new widget type you would like to use (for example, Masonry instead of Carousel).
The duplicate is created with the same review selection already applied. Customise the appearance as needed.
Copy the embed code for the new widget and replace the old embed code on your website.

Option 2: Create a New Widget from Scratch

If you prefer a completely fresh start, you can create a new widget, select the layout type you want, and then re-select the same reviews you were already using. Once the new widget is ready, swap the embed code on your website to point to it. Your previous widget remains available until you are confident the new one is working as expected.
