Overview
The Floating Badge is a widget type in Feedspace that shows a compact rating badge on your site instead of a list of individual review cards. It is an aggregate widget: rather than picking reviews one by one, you point it at a single review source, and the badge shows that source’s rating and review count.
It works well in a landing page review section, where you want a small piece of social proof that always reflects your latest rating without taking up much space. Because it reads from one of your auto-sync sources, the badge stays current as new reviews come in.
Before you start
A Floating Badge is powered by one active auto-sync review source, so you need at least one auto-sync set up before the badge has anything to show. If you have not set one up yet, you can do it from the Setup Auto-Sync button inside the editor, which takes you to the Import screen.
Steps to add a Floating Badge widget
- Log in to your Feedspace dashboard and click Widgets in the left sidebar.
- In the Choose a Widget Template strip at the top, click the Floating Badge card. It is marked with a New tag.
- The widget editor opens on the Review Source tab. Under Select Review Source, pick the platform you want the badge to read from. Only platforms with an active auto-sync are listed.
- If no source is listed, click Setup Auto-Sync to go to the Import screen, turn on auto-sync for a review platform, then come back and select it here. You cannot leave this tab until a source is selected.
- Click Save and Next to move to the Design tab. Adjust the badge’s colors, font, and other options to match your site.
- Open the Share tab and click Copy code, then paste the embed code into your website where you want the badge to appear.

Once the badge is on your site, you can fine-tune how it looks or reuse the embed steps for other widgets:
Common questions
Where do the reviews in a Floating Badge come from?
The badge reads from the single auto-sync source you select on the Review Source tab. It shows that source’s overall rating and review count, and it updates as new reviews sync in.
Why can’t I hand-pick individual reviews for the badge?
The Floating Badge is an aggregate widget, so it summarizes a whole source rather than showing separate review cards. That is why it uses the Review Source tab to pick one source, instead of the Select Reviews tab that other widget types use.
The Review Source list is empty and I can’t continue
The list only shows platforms that have an active auto-sync. Click Setup Auto-Sync to open the Import screen, turn on auto-sync for a review platform, then return to the badge and select it. The tab keeps you here until a source is chosen.
Can I change the review source later?
Yes. Reopen the widget in the editor, go back to the Review Source tab, select a different source, and save. The badge switches to the new source.
