How Do I Delete a Widget in Feedspace?

Overview

If you no longer need a widget, you can permanently delete it from your Feedspace dashboard. Before the deletion is confirmed, Feedspace shows you a summary of the widget’s usage stats so you can make an informed decision. Once deleted, the widget cannot be recovered.

Note: Deleting a widget also stops it from displaying on any website where it was embedded. If you only want to keep a backup, consider duplicating the widget before deleting the original.

How to Delete a Widget

Step 1: Go to the Widgets Section

Step 2: Open the Widget Options Menu

Find the widget you want to delete and click the three-dot menu icon on the widget card.

Step 3: Click Delete

From the dropdown menu, click Delete. A confirmation dialog will appear showing the widget’s usage statistics, including total views, number of connected feeds, and the websites where the widget is currently embedded.

Step 4: Review the Usage Stats and Confirm

Review the stats shown in the confirmation dialog. If you are sure you want to proceed, click Delete to permanently remove the widget. The widget will be deleted from your dashboard and will stop displaying on any website where it was embedded.

What You Can Do Next

After deleting a widget, here are a few things to keep in mind:

Remove the embed code from your website: The widget will stop rendering on your website, but the embed code snippet may still be present in your page’s HTML. Remove it to keep your website code clean.
Create a new widget: If you need a fresh widget for the same or a different page, go back to the Widgets section and click Create Widget to start with a new template.
Duplicate before deleting next time: If you think you might want to reuse a widget’s design or settings in the future, duplicate it first before deleting the original.
