How to Create a Vertical Scroll Widget in Feedspace

Overview

The Vertical Scroll widget in Feedspace displays reviews in a continuous upward-scrolling format. It’s ideal for pages with limited horizontal space, such as sidebars, landing pages, or testimonials sections. You can enable cross-scrolling animations, customize borders, and adjust colors to match your brand.

How to Access

Step 1 – Log in to Feedspace

Go to your Feedspace Dashboard and log in using your credentials.

Step 2 – Navigate to Widgets

From the left sidebar, click on Share Reviews → Widgets.
Then select Vertical Scroll as your widget type.

Step 3 – Select Reviews

Choose the reviews you want to display. You can include reviews from multiple sources or manually select individual ones.

Step 4 – Customize Widget Design

Click Customize to open the Widget Design Settings panel, where you can configure layout, animation, and appearance.

Step 5 – Enable Cross Scrolling Animation

Toggle Cross Scrolling Animation to make columns move in opposite directions while scrolling. This creates a visually appealing motion effect for displaying multiple reviews simultaneously.

Step 6 – Manage Branding Options

If you’re on a Pro plan, you can toggle Remove Feedspace Branding to hide the Feedspace badge from your widget for a cleaner appearance.

Step 7 – Choose What to Display

Display Review Ratings: Show or hide star ratings for each review.
Enable ‘Read More’: Shorten long reviews and add a Read More link for better layout control.
Enable Dark Mode: Switch to a dark color theme for your widget.
Show Border: Add a border around each review card.
- Thickness: Adjust from 1px to 5px.
- Radius: Choose Small, Medium, or Large corner roundness.
- Color: Default color is #E5E7EB.
Show Shadow: Optionally enable this for card depth and contrast.

You can match your widget colors with your website theme using these options:

Primary Text Color: #1f2937
Secondary Text Color: #6b7280
Card Background Color: #f9fbff
Card on Hover Color: #d3d5d8
Star Rating Color: #FACC15
Star Rating Border Color: #EAB308

Advanced Options

Step 9 – Add Custom CSS

If you are using the Pro plan, enable Add Custom CSS to add your own styles for animations, font sizes, or layout customization.

Step 10 – Review Order

Preview how the widget will look on your site.
Reorder reviews if needed under the Review Order tab.

Step 11 – Save and Embed

Once all settings are configured:

Click Save & Next.
Copy the embed code generated.
Paste it into your website HTML or use your CMS integration (like WordPress, Webflow, or Wix) to publish.

The Vertical Scroll widget is perfect for compact spaces where vertical motion fits better than horizontal carousels. It’s ideal for testimonial sidebars, footer sections, or content areas that require continuous updates.
