Why Were Only Some of My Reviews Imported in Feedspace?

Last updated on June 18, 2026

Overview

When you import reviews from a third-party platform into Feedspace, you might find that fewer reviews arrive than you expected. For example, you have 160 reviews on a platform but only 81 appear after the import. There are two main reasons this happens, and they have different fixes.

Reason 1: Your plan has a selection limit

Each Feedspace plan allows you to select and import up to a certain number of reviews. When you reach that limit during an import, Feedspace stops adding reviews and shows a message: “Your plan allows importing up to X reviews. Please upgrade to import unlimited reviews.”

If you saw that message during the import, or if the number of imported reviews matches your plan’s limit exactly, this is the reason. The fix is to upgrade to a higher plan that allows more imports.

To check your current plan and its limits, click the circular avatar button at the top-right of the header, then open Subscription. You can compare plans and upgrade from there.

Reason 2: The platform itself limits what it exposes

Some review platforms only make a subset of reviews accessible through their public pages or APIs. Feedspace imports what the platform exposes; it can’t access reviews the platform keeps private or paginated behind a login.

This is common on platforms like Fresha, where the publicly visible review count may be larger than what’s accessible through an import. If your plan’s selection limit is higher than the number of reviews that arrived, the shortfall is almost certainly platform-side.

There isn’t a workaround for this from within Feedspace. You can try importing again if new reviews have appeared, or manually add the missing reviews by adding them directly in your Feedspace review list.

How to tell which reason applies to you

  • If Feedspace showed a “plan limit reached” message during the import, it’s Reason 1.
  • If the import preview itself showed fewer reviews than you have on the platform (before you selected any), it’s Reason 2.
  • If the preview showed the right number but fewer arrived after importing, try the import again. An intermittent connection issue can occasionally cut an import short. If the same number arrives again, it’s likely Reason 2.

What’s next

After resolving the cause, you can run the import again by clicking Import in the left sidebar. Feedspace skips reviews already in your account, so re-importing won’t create duplicates. Once your reviews are in, add them to a widget or Wall of Love page to start displaying them on your site.

Common questions

Can I import the rest of my reviews after upgrading?

Yes. After upgrading your plan, go back to the import flow for that platform and run the import again. You’ll see the full set of reviews available and can select the ones that weren’t imported the first time.

Will importing again create duplicate reviews?

Feedspace checks for duplicates during import and skips reviews that are already in your account. Running an import a second time for the same platform is safe.
