Overview
X (Twitter) posts and mentions are among the most visible forms of social proof available to any brand. When customers publicly post about your product on X, they are sharing their experience with their own followers in real time, making those posts highly credible endorsements. Displaying these posts on your WordPress site brings that live social conversation directly to your visitors, showing them that real people are actively talking about your brand, without them having to leave your site to search for it. Feedspace lets you import those posts and mentions, organise them into a widget, and embed that widget anywhere on your WordPress site in just a few steps.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have the following ready before starting:
- A Feedspace account with at least one workspace set up
- X (Twitter) posts or mentions already imported into Feedspace (see the import guide linked in the related articles section)
- A WordPress site where you have permission to install plugins and edit pages
Step 1: Import Your X (Twitter) Posts into Feedspace
If you have not already imported your X posts and mentions, follow the steps in the How to Import Posts from X into Feedspace guide. Once your posts are imported, they appear in your Feedspace testimonials list and are ready to be added to a widget.
Step 2: Create a Widget in Feedspace
A widget controls how your imported X posts are displayed. To create one:
- Log in to your Feedspace account and open your workspace.
- Navigate to the Widgets section from the sidebar.
- Click Create Widget and choose a display style. Common options include:
- Wall of Love
- Slider / Carousel
- Grid
- Single Testimonial
- In the widget settings, filter or select the testimonials you want to include. To show only your X (Twitter) posts and mentions, filter by source and select X (Twitter).
- Customise the widget appearance, including colours, fonts, and layout, to match your WordPress site’s branding.
- Click Save to save your widget.
Tip: Because X posts are short and conversational by nature, a Wall of Love or Grid layout works particularly well. It lets visitors scan multiple posts at a glance, making the volume of social conversation immediately apparent and reinforcing the sense that your brand is widely discussed online.
Step 3: Install the Feedspace WordPress Plugin
The Feedspace WordPress plugin lets you embed your widget directly onto any page or post without touching code. To install it:
- Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
- Go to Plugins and click Add New.
- Search for Feedspace in the plugin search box.
- Click Install Now next to the Feedspace plugin, then click Activate.
- Once activated, go to the Feedspace plugin settings and connect it to your Feedspace account using your API key or by following the on-screen authentication steps.
Step 4: Add the Widget to Your WordPress Page
With the plugin installed and connected, you can add your X (Twitter) widget to any page or post:
- Open the WordPress page or post where you want to display your X posts.
- In the Gutenberg block editor, click the + button to add a new block.
- Search for Feedspace and select the Feedspace widget block.
- From the block settings, select the widget you created in Step 2.
- Click Update or Publish to save the page.
Your X (Twitter) posts and mentions will now appear live on your WordPress page, automatically reflecting any updates you make to the widget inside Feedspace.
Common Questions
Can I show only X (Twitter) posts and exclude other sources?
Yes. When configuring your widget in Feedspace, use the source filter to select only X (Twitter) as the content source. This ensures the widget displays exclusively posts and mentions imported from X.
Will the widget update automatically when I import new posts?
Yes. The Feedspace widget is dynamic. Once new X posts are imported into Feedspace and added to the widget, they appear on your WordPress site without you needing to update the page manually.
Can I embed the widget without the WordPress plugin?
Yes. Feedspace also provides an embed code (an HTML snippet) that you can paste into any HTML block in WordPress or into a custom HTML section of your theme. See the How to Embed a Widget in WordPress guide for details on this method.
