How Do I Add an Inline CTA to My Strip Slider Widget in Feedspace?

Overview

An inline CTA (call to action) adds a button to your Strip Slider widget in Feedspace, so visitors can act while they are reading your reviews. On the Strip Slider you control three things: the button’s label, the web address it opens, and its color.

A strip of reviews under a pricing table or a sign-up form is a good example. A visitor reads a couple of glowing reviews scrolling past, and a Start free trial button right there turns that moment of trust into a click without sending them hunting for the sign-up link.

Steps to add an inline CTA

Step 1: Find your Strip Slider

Click Widgets in the Feedspace sidebar and look for the Strip Slider you want the button on.

Step 2: Open the widget editor

Click the Edit (pencil) icon on that widget’s card, then click the Design tab at the top of the editor.

Step 3: Turn on Inline CTA

Scroll to the Inline CTA Section and turn on the Inline CTA toggle. The CTA fields open underneath it.

Step 4: Fill in the CTA fields

CTA Button Label: the words on the button, such as Book a demo. Up to 60 characters.
CTA Button URL: the full web address of the page the button opens.
CTA Button Color: click the swatch or type a hex code. Pick a color that stands out from the review cards.

Step 5: Save the widget

Check the button in the preview, then click Save & Next in the top right corner to save it.

What’s next

Open the page where the widget is embedded and click the button once to confirm it goes to the right place.
Change the card background color if the button color needs more contrast against the cards.

Common questions

Why can’t I add a heading or body text to the CTA?

The Strip Slider is a thin strip, so its CTA is a button only. The CTA Heading Text and CTA Body Text fields appear on the larger widget types, such as Carousel, Masonry and Vertical Scroll.

Do I need to copy the embed code again after adding the button?

No. The widget on your site loads from Feedspace each time the page opens, so the button appears there as soon as you save.
