The Avatar Card Carousel widget displays your testimonials as individual reviewer cards that slide horizontally, with each card showing a reviewer’s avatar, name, and testimonial text side by side. Because the card surface is the most prominent visual element in this layout, its background color strongly influences how readable and polished your carousel looks on any page.
The Card Background Color option, found in the Widget Color Customization section of the Design tab, lets you set a single fill color that applies uniformly to every card in the carousel. Choosing a color that contrasts well with your text keeps reviewer names and testimonials easy to read as visitors swipe through. On some widget configurations a Card on Hover Color picker also appears, letting you set a separate color for when a visitor moves their cursor over a card, which adds an interactive feel to the carousel without requiring any custom code.
Log in to your Feedspace account and navigate to the Widgets section from the left sidebar. You will see a list of all the widgets you have created.
Find your Avatar Card Carousel widget in the list and click the Edit button next to it. This opens the widget editor where you can adjust both content and design settings.
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the panel. This tab contains all visual customization options for your Avatar Card Carousel, including layout, typography, and color settings.
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Color Customization section. This section groups all color pickers for the carousel, including text color, background color, and card colors.
Click the Card Background Color picker. A color palette and hex input field will appear. Choose a color by clicking a swatch, entering a hex code directly, or using the color spectrum selector. Your selection is applied instantly to every card in the carousel preview, so you can judge the result before saving.
If a Card on Hover Color picker appears below the Card Background Color picker, click it to choose the color that each card will display when a visitor hovers over it. Setting this to a slightly lighter or darker shade of your card background color creates a subtle, professional hover effect that encourages interaction. If this picker is not visible for your widget configuration, you can skip this step.
Once you are satisfied with your color selections, click Save to apply the changes. The updated card background color will be reflected immediately wherever your Avatar Card Carousel widget is embedded.
