How Do I Change the Order of Reviews in My Cross Slider Widget in Feedspace?

The Cross Slider widget presents each review one at a time, giving it full focus as it transitions into view with a distinctive cross-directional slide. Because every review commands the visitor’s complete attention during its transition, the order in which reviews appear has a direct impact on first impressions. Placing your most persuasive testimonial at the top means it is the very first thing visitors see, setting a strong tone before they read anything else.

Feedspace gives you two ways to control that order inside the Cross Slider widget editor. You can use the Sort By dropdown to sort reviews automatically by date, or you can open the Change Order sub-tab and drag reviews into any custom sequence you choose.

How to Change the Order of Reviews for Your Cross Slider Widget

Step 1: Open Your Cross Slider Widget in Feedspace

Log in to your Feedspace account and navigate to the Share section from the left sidebar. Locate the Cross Slider widget you want to edit and click on it to open the widget editor.

Step 2: Go to the Reviews Tab

Inside the widget editor, click the Reviews tab. This tab contains all the controls for selecting and ordering the reviews displayed in your Cross Slider widget.

Step 3: Choose Your Ordering Method

You have two ways to set the review order. Use the method that best fits your needs:

• Sort By dropdown: Select Newest First to show the most recently collected reviews at the start of the slider, or select Oldest First to begin with your earliest testimonials.
• Change Order sub-tab: Switch to the Change Order sub-tab to arrange reviews in a fully custom sequence by dragging and dropping each review card into the position you want.

Step 4: Sort Reviews Using the Sort By Dropdown

If you want a date-based order, click the Sort By dropdown and select either Newest First or Oldest First. The review list updates immediately to reflect your chosen sort order. This is the quickest way to keep your freshest social proof front and center as new reviews come in.

Step 5: Reorder Reviews Manually Using the Change Order Sub-Tab

For a custom sequence, click the Change Order sub-tab. You will see all the reviews currently selected for your Cross Slider widget displayed as draggable cards. Click and hold a review card, drag it to the desired position in the list, then release. Repeat for any other reviews you want to reposition. Because the Cross Slider gives each review full attention on screen, moving your single strongest testimonial to the top ensures it is the opening statement every visitor encounters.

Step 6: Save Your Changes

Once you are satisfied with the order, click Save to apply the changes. Your Cross Slider widget will now display reviews in the sequence you have set. Any page or embed already using this widget will update automatically.
