How Do I Change the Text Color on My Avatar Blocks Widget in Feedspace?

Last updated on June 12, 2026

Overview

The Avatar Blocks widget presents testimonials in a structured block grid, placing each reviewer’s avatar alongside their review title, body text, name, date, and metadata in a clean side-by-side layout. Because this widget surfaces so much textual information at once, controlling how that text looks is essential for creating a display that feels intentional and easy to read.

Feedspace gives you two dedicated color pickers inside the Widget Color Customization section to manage text appearance across the entire Avatar Blocks grid. The Primary Text Color controls the review title and body text, which are the most prominent readable elements in each block. The Secondary Text Color controls the reviewer name, date, and any associated metadata, which appear in a supporting role beneath the main review content. Setting these two colors independently lets you create a clear visual hierarchy that guides visitors through each testimonial naturally, without relying on font size or weight changes alone.

How to Change the Text Color on Your Avatar Blocks Widget

Step 1: Open the Widgets Section

Log in to your Feedspace account and navigate to the Widgets section from the left-hand sidebar. This is where all of your existing widgets are listed and managed.

Step 2: Edit Your Avatar Blocks Widget

Locate your Avatar Blocks widget in the list and click the edit icon next to it. If you have not created one yet, create a new widget and select Avatar Blocks as the widget type before continuing.

Step 3: Go to the Design Tab

Once inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the editor panel. The Design tab contains all visual customization settings for your Avatar Blocks widget, including layout, spacing, and color options.

Step 4: Find the Widget Color Customization Section

Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Color Customization section. This section groups all color-related settings for the widget in one place, making it easy to adjust the overall color scheme without navigating between multiple panels.

Step 5: Set the Primary Text Color

Click the color picker next to Primary Text Color. This color applies to the review title and body text displayed inside each block of the Avatar Blocks grid. Choose a color that provides strong contrast against your card background so the review content is easy to read at a glance. Click outside the picker or confirm your selection to apply the color.

Step 6: Set the Secondary Text Color

Click the color picker next to Secondary Text Color. This color applies to the reviewer name, date, and any metadata shown beneath the review body in each block. Using a slightly lighter or more muted tone than your primary color helps establish a natural reading hierarchy, drawing attention to the review content first and the reviewer details second. Confirm your selection once you are happy with the result.

Step 7: Save and Preview Your Widget

Click Save to apply both color changes to your Avatar Blocks widget. Use the preview to review how the primary and secondary text colors look together across the block grid before publishing. Adjust either color if the contrast or hierarchy does not look right, then save again.

What You Can Do Next

  • Adjust the card background color on your Avatar Blocks widget so the primary and secondary text colors contrast clearly against each block’s background.
  • Explore the other color customization options in the Widget Color Customization section to fine-tune the star rating color, border color, and overall widget background.
