Overview
The Review and Ratings widget puts two things side by side: a ratings summary, and the list of reviews behind it. A visitor sees the overall picture first, then reads the individual reviews you picked, without leaving the section.
That combination suits a product page or a pricing page, where a single star rating is not enough to convince someone but a wall of text is too much to read. The summary gives the quick answer and the list gives the proof, so a reader can stop at whichever depth satisfies them.
Steps to create a Review and Ratings widget
Step 1: Pick the template
Log in to your Feedspace dashboard and click Widgets in the left sidebar. In the template strip at the top of the page, click the Review and Ratings card. The editor opens full screen on the Select Reviews tab.
Step 2: Choose the reviews to show
Tick the checkbox on each review you want in the list. Use the search box to find a specific one, or the filter button to narrow the list by review type, star rating, form, label, or sentiment. Select All takes everything currently in view. The preview on the right updates as you go, so you can watch the summary and the list fill out.
Step 3: Set the order
Open the Change Order sub-tab and drag the reviews into the sequence you want. Whatever sits at the top is what a visitor reads first, so lead with your strongest review.
Step 4: Decide what each review shows
Click Save & Next to move to the Design tab. Under Widget Content Customization, turn Show Review Date on or off, and use Shorten Long Reviews to control how much text appears. Shortening is on for this widget by default, which cuts long reviews after a few lines and adds a read more link so the list stays compact.
Step 5: Add a Load More button for long lists
Under Widget Color Customization, switch on Show Load More Button. This shows a button at the bottom of the list so a visitor can keep reading without the widget taking over the page. Three colour pickers appear with it: Button Background Color, Button Border Color, and Button Text Color.
Step 6: Match the widget to your page
In the same section, turn on Enable Dark Mode if the widget sits on a dark background. Show Review Card Border is off by default, which renders the cards flush against your page. Turn it on if you want each review outlined.
Step 7: Add a call to action, if you want one
Under Inline CTA Section, switch on Inline CTA to drop a prompt inside the review list. You can set the heading, body text, button label, button URL, and button colour, and use CTA Position to choose where it lands among the reviews.
Step 8: Embed it on your site
Click Save & Next to open the Share tab, choose the tab for your platform, and click Copy code. Paste the code into the part of the page where the summary and reviews should appear. This widget sits inline with your content, so put it in a content section rather than the footer.
What’s next
Once the widget is live, you can have Feedspace keep it topped up on its own instead of adding reviews by hand. Open the widget editor and click the Automate Review Selection banner on the Select Reviews tab to set the rules for which new reviews join the list.
Common questions
Where does the ratings summary get its numbers from?
From the reviews you selected for the widget. Add or remove reviews on the Select Reviews tab and the summary changes with them.
How is this different from the Review Badge widget?
The Review Badge shows one trust card per review platform you sync, with no review text. Review and Ratings shows your own selected reviews in full, with a summary above them. See how to create a Review Badge widget if the badge is closer to what you need.
Why do my reviews cut off after a few lines?
That is Shorten Long Reviews, which is on by default for this widget so the list stays readable. Turn it off on the Design tab to show every review in full.
