The Horizontal Scroll widget displays your review cards in a continuously looping ticker that scrolls across the page, keeping your social proof visible and in motion at all times. Because the widget spans the full width of the page in a tight, compact band, the background color of the widget itself has a strong visual impact on how the scrolling cards appear against your site’s design.
Enabling Dark Mode switches the widget to a dark background theme and automatically adjusts card colors and text to suit that darker canvas. This is especially useful for sites with dark-themed pages, hero sections, or footers, where a light-background ticker would appear visually jarring. With Dark Mode on, the scrolling review cards blend naturally into dark layouts while keeping all review text clearly legible.
Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left-hand navigation, click Widgets to open the list of all widgets you have created.
Find the Horizontal Scroll widget you want to update. Click the Edit button (or the widget name) to open the widget editor.
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab. This tab contains all visual customization options for the widget, including layout, colors, and theme settings.
Scroll down within the Design tab to find the Widget Color Customization section. This section contains color controls specific to the Horizontal Scroll widget’s appearance, including the Dark Mode toggle.
Click the Dark Mode toggle to switch it on. Once enabled, the widget background will shift to a dark theme and the review card colors and text will be automatically adjusted to maintain contrast and readability across the scrolling ticker.
Click Save to apply your changes. Use the preview to confirm the Horizontal Scroll widget now displays with a dark background and that the scrolling review cards look correct against the new theme. Copy the updated embed code and replace it on your site if needed.
