The Select Reviews tab in the Cross Slider widget editor includes a search input and a filter panel that let you narrow your entire review library down to only the strongest standalone testimonials. You can filter by review type, source platform, star rating, sentiment, and labels, and combine those filters with a keyword search to pinpoint exactly the reviews that will hold a viewer’s attention when shown one at a time.
This guide walks through every control in the search and filter panel so you can build a focused, high-impact selection for your Cross Slider widget in Feedspace.
Log in to your Feedspace account and navigate to the Widgets section from the main sidebar. Locate your Cross Slider widget in the list and click Edit to open the widget editor.
Inside the widget editor, click the Select Reviews tab. This is where you choose which reviews appear in your Cross Slider. The tab displays your full review library along with the search input and filter panel at the top of the list.
Type a word or phrase into the search input field to instantly filter the review list to entries that contain that text. Because the Cross Slider places each review in full focus, search for keywords that signal a complete, self-contained testimonial, such as a specific outcome, a product name, or a memorable phrase. Reviews that reference context from other reviews or rely on surrounding copy to make sense are less effective in this layout.
Open the filter panel and select a Review Type to restrict the list to a specific format. Options typically include text reviews, video reviews, and imported reviews. For the Cross Slider layout, video reviews and longer text reviews that tell a complete story tend to perform well as standalone cards because they give viewers something substantial to engage with during the transition.
Use the Source Platform filter to show only reviews collected from a particular channel, such as a Feedspace form, Google, Trustpilot, or another connected platform. If you want your Cross Slider to feel consistent in tone and format, filtering to a single source is a quick way to achieve that without manually reviewing each entry.
Select a Star Rating in the filter panel to limit results to reviews at or above a specific rating. For a Cross Slider widget, where each card is displayed prominently, filtering to four-star and five-star reviews ensures that every transition showcases a positive, confidence-building testimonial. Lower-rated reviews may undermine the impact of the widget when they are the only thing on screen.
Use the Sentiment filter to display reviews that have been tagged as positive, neutral, or negative based on their language. For the Cross Slider layout, filtering to positive sentiment is the most straightforward way to ensure every full-focus card reinforces trust. Neutral reviews can also work well if they describe a specific use case in a balanced, informative way.
If you have applied labels to your reviews in Feedspace, use the Labels filter to show only reviews tagged with a specific label, such as a product name, campaign, or customer segment. This is especially useful when you want your Cross Slider to highlight reviews from a particular audience or about a specific feature, keeping the widget focused and relevant to the page it appears on.
You can apply multiple filters at the same time alongside a keyword search. For example, you might search for “results” while filtering to five-star, positive-sentiment video reviews from a specific source platform. The review list updates in real time as you adjust each filter, so you can experiment freely until the list contains exactly the standalone testimonials that will make your Cross Slider compelling.
With the filtered list showing your strongest candidates, check the reviews you want to include in the Cross Slider. Once you have made your selections, save your changes. The widget will now display only the reviews you have chosen, each one presented as a full-focus card during the cross-directional transition.
