How Do I Search and Filter Reviews for My Floating Cards Widget in Feedspace?

Last updated on June 12, 2026

Overview

The Feedspace Floating Cards widget displays your reviews as animated cards that gently float and drift across the screen, creating a dynamic and eye-catching effect. Because each card is in motion and only visible for a few seconds at a time, the reviews you choose need to be short and punchy. A long testimonial that gets cut off mid-sentence loses its impact entirely.

The Select Reviews tab inside the Floating Cards widget editor gives you a search input and a filter panel to help you zero in on exactly the right reviews. You can narrow results by review type, source platform, star rating, sentiment, and labels, so you can quickly surface the concise, high-impact testimonials that work best in a floating animated layout.

How to Search and Filter Reviews for Your Floating Cards Widget

Step 1: Open the Floating Cards Widget Editor

Log in to Feedspace and navigate to the Widgets section from the left sidebar. Locate your Floating Cards widget and click Edit, or click + Create Widget and select Floating Cards to create a new one. The widget editor will open.

Step 2: Go to the Select Reviews Tab

Inside the widget editor, click the Select Reviews tab. This tab lists all the reviews available in your Feedspace account and is where you search, filter, and choose which reviews appear as floating cards in the widget.

Step 3: Use the Search Input to Find Reviews by Keyword

At the top of the Select Reviews tab, you will find a search input field. Type a word or phrase to instantly filter the review list to entries that contain that text. This is useful when you remember a specific phrase from a testimonial, or when you want to find reviews that mention a particular product feature or outcome. For the Floating Cards widget, searching for short, vivid phrases helps you identify reviews that will read well as brief animated cards.

Step 4: Open the Filter Panel

Click the Filter button (or the filter icon) near the search input to expand the filter panel. The panel reveals a set of filter options you can apply individually or in combination to refine which reviews are shown in the list.

Step 5: Filter by Review Type

Use the Review Type filter to show only text reviews, video reviews, or audio reviews. For the Floating Cards widget, text reviews are generally the best choice because they are readable as the card drifts across the screen. Select Text to focus the list on written testimonials that suit the animated card format.

Step 6: Filter by Source Platform

Use the Source Platform filter to show reviews collected from a specific platform, such as Google, Trustpilot, Capterra, or your own Feedspace forms. This lets you curate floating cards to match a particular audience or use case, for example showing only Google reviews on a landing page targeting search traffic.

Step 7: Filter by Star Rating

Use the Star Rating filter to restrict the list to reviews of a specific star rating. For a Floating Cards widget, selecting 4-star and 5-star reviews ensures that only your strongest social proof floats across the screen. You can select a single rating or a range depending on your needs.

Step 8: Filter by Sentiment

Use the Sentiment filter to show reviews that Feedspace has automatically classified as positive, neutral, or negative. For the Floating Cards widget, choose Positive to surface enthusiastic, confident testimonials that create a strong impression as they drift across the screen.

Step 9: Filter by Labels

If you have organised your reviews using labels in Feedspace, use the Labels filter to show only reviews tagged with a specific label. For example, if you have labeled short testimonials with “concise” or grouped reviews by product line, you can use this filter to pull exactly the right set for your floating cards layout.

Step 10: Select Reviews and Save

Once the filtered list shows the reviews you want, check the box next to each review you wish to include in the widget. Aim for short testimonials that communicate a clear, specific benefit in one or two sentences, as these read best on an animated floating card. When you are satisfied with your selection, click Save to apply the changes to your Floating Cards widget.

What You Can Do Next

  • Adjust the animation speed and card appearance in the Design tab of the Floating Cards widget editor to complement the concise reviews you selected.
  • Use the Automation settings on your Floating Cards widget to automatically include new top-rated reviews as they arrive, keeping the floating display fresh without manual updates.
  • Copy the embed code for your Floating Cards widget and place it on a high-traffic landing page or homepage to maximise the visibility of your best testimonials.
  • Return to the Select Reviews tab periodically to swap in newer reviews, ensuring the cards drifting across your screen always reflect your most recent and relevant social proof.
