How Do I Back Up Feedspace Testimonials to Dropbox with Make?

Last updated on June 10, 2026

Overview

Connect Feedspace to Dropbox via Make to automatically save each new testimonial file to a Dropbox folder. This gives you a continuous off-platform backup and makes testimonials easy to share with your team.

Note: Automation through Make is available only on Professional and Business Plans in Feedspace, and requires an API key for connection.

Step 1: Create a Scenario in Make

  1. Log in to Make and click + Create a new scenario.
  2. Give your scenario a name, e.g., Feedspace to Dropbox Backup.
  3. Click +, search for Feedspace, and select Watch New Testimonials.
  4. Click Add, enter your Feedspace Automation Secret Key, then click Save.
    • To find this key: go to your Feedspace workspace → AutomationAPI tab → copy the Automation Secret Key.
  5. Click OK to confirm the trigger.

Step 2: (Optional) Filter for Video Testimonials Only

  1. Click the line between the trigger and the next module to add a Filter.
  2. Set the condition: Testimonial TypeEqual toVideo.
  3. Only video testimonials will proceed to the Dropbox upload step.

Step 3: Connect Dropbox

  1. Click + to add an action module.
  2. Search for Dropbox and select it.
  3. Choose Upload a File as the action.
  4. Click Add and sign in to your Dropbox account to authorise Make.

Step 4: Configure the Upload

  1. Set the Folder Path in Dropbox, e.g., /Feedspace/Video Testimonials/.
  2. Map the File URL from the Feedspace trigger to the Source File input.
  3. (Optional) Set a dynamic File Name, for example: {{Reviewer Name}} - {{Created At}}.mp4.
  4. Enable Auto Rename to avoid overwriting files with the same name.
  5. Click OK to save the action.

Step 5: Test and Activate the Scenario

Click Run once to test. Once confirmed, toggle the scenario On. New Feedspace testimonials will now automatically save to your Dropbox folder.

Why Set This Up?

  • Automatic off-platform backup: Every testimonial is saved to Dropbox without any manual effort, keeping a secure copy outside Feedspace.
  • Access from any device: Retrieve testimonial files anytime via the Dropbox desktop app, mobile app, or web interface.
  • Simple sharing: Share testimonials with team members or clients using Dropbox shared folders or direct links.
  • Complete archive: Auto-rename ensures no files are overwritten, so you maintain a full historical record of every testimonial.
  • Zero ongoing effort: Once the workflow is active, backups happen automatically for every new testimonial.
