It can be surprising to notice that a review you collected is not showing up inside your widget. The good news is that there are a small number of well-defined reasons why this happens, and every one of them has a straightforward fix. This article walks you through each possible cause and tells you exactly what to do to get your review displaying right away.
Widgets in Feedspace only show the reviews you have explicitly chosen to include. Working through the four checks below will almost always surface the reason a review is missing and let you resolve it in moments.
Every widget has a Select Reviews tab where you choose which reviews appear inside it. A review is only included when its checkbox is ticked. If you added a new review after the widget was created, it will not be selected automatically.
Fix: Open your widget, go to the Select Reviews tab, find the review in question, and tick its checkbox. Save the widget and the review will appear immediately.
Feedspace lets you set up automation filters on a widget so that only reviews meeting certain criteria are included automatically. If a filter is active, any review that does not match the filter rules will be excluded, even if it appears in your review list.
Fix: Open your widget settings and check the automation or filter section. Review the active filter criteria and either adjust the criteria to include the review, or manually add the review by selecting it in the Select Reviews tab regardless of the filter.
The Company Logo Slider widget is specifically designed to display company logos alongside testimonials. If a review does not have a company logo attached to it, the widget has nothing to show for that entry and will skip it.
Fix: Open the review in your Feedspace review list and add or upload a company logo to the review. Once a logo is attached, the review will become eligible to appear in your Company Logo Slider widget.
If a review has been deleted from your review list, or if it has been deactivated, it will no longer be available to any widget. Deactivated reviews are hidden from all public displays while remaining in your account so you can reactivate them at any time.
Fix: Go to your review list and check whether the review is present. If it is deactivated, toggle it back to active. If it was deleted, you will need to re-collect or re-import the review before it can be added to a widget again.
