How Do I Display Shoutout Reviews on My WordPress Site with Feedspace?

If you collected social proof through Shoutout’s Wall of Love, migrating those testimonials to Feedspace lets you manage and display them alongside reviews from all your other sources. Once your Shoutout testimonials are imported into Feedspace, you can embed them directly on your WordPress site using the Feedspace plugin, keeping your social proof visible and up to date without maintaining separate tools. Imported reviews keep all original content intact, including the reviewer’s name, photo, and the testimonial text, so nothing is lost in the migration.

What you need before you start

• A Feedspace account with your Shoutout testimonials already imported (see the import guide linked in related articles)
• A WordPress site where you want to display the reviews
• Administrator access to your WordPress dashboard

Step 1: Import your Shoutout testimonials into Feedspace

Before you can display your reviews on WordPress, make sure your Shoutout testimonials have been imported into Feedspace.

1. Log in to your Feedspace account.
2. Click Import in the left sidebar, then go to the Migrate Reviews tab.
3. Select Shoutout from the platform options.
4. Follow the instructions in Feedspace to copy your Shoutout content URL, paste it in the input field, then click Request Import.

Step 2: Create a widget in Feedspace

Next, create a display widget in Feedspace that includes your imported Shoutout testimonials.

1. Go to Widgets in the sidebar.
2. Click a template from the template strip, such as Carousel or Masonry, to create your widget. The editor opens automatically.
3. In the editor, select the reviews you want to include using the checkboxes on the left.
4. Switch to the Design tab to customise the colors and appearance to match your site.
5. Go to the Share tab. Under HTML/WordPress, copy the Widget ID from the WordPress plugin section for use in the next step.

Step 3: Install the Feedspace WordPress plugin

The Feedspace WordPress plugin lets you embed your widget on any page or post without touching code.

1. In your WordPress admin panel, go to Plugins and click Add New.
2. Search for Feedspace and click Install Now, then Activate.

Step 4: Add the widget to your WordPress page

With the plugin installed, you can now embed your Shoutout testimonials on any page or post.

1. Open the WordPress page or post where you want to display the reviews.
2. In the Gutenberg editor, add a Feedspace Widget block to the location where you want the reviews to appear.
3. Paste the Widget ID you copied in Step 2 into the block.
4. Click Publish or Update to save the page.

Where to display your testimonials

You can add the Feedspace widget to any location on your WordPress site. Common placements include:

• Your homepage to build trust with first-time visitors
• Product or service pages to provide social proof at the point of decision
• A dedicated testimonials page that showcases all your reviews in one place

Tips

• Original content is preserved: When you import from Shoutout, all testimonial content migrates intact, including reviewer names, profile photos, star ratings, and the full text. Nothing is altered during import, so your WordPress widget will reflect the reviews exactly as your customers wrote them.
• Mix sources in one widget: You can combine your imported Shoutout testimonials with reviews collected directly through Feedspace in the same widget, giving visitors a broader view of your social proof.
• Widget updates automatically: Any new reviews you add to Feedspace after embedding the widget will appear on your WordPress site without needing to update the embed code.
