Overview
The Avatar Group widget displays a compact cluster of reviewer avatars alongside a star rating count and a trust headline, giving visitors a quick visual signal that real people have reviewed your product or service. When a visitor hovers over or focuses on the widget, individual review cards expand to show the full testimonial. The Show Review Card Border toggle, found in the Widget Color Customization section of the Design tab, lets you draw a visible border around each of those cards.
Adding a border gives each review card a defined edge that separates it cleanly from the background, which is especially useful when your page background color is similar to the card’s fill color. You can control three sub-options when the toggle is on: Border Thickness (1px to 12px) to set how prominent the line is, Border Radius (None to XX-Large) to choose between sharp corners and fully rounded cards, and Border Color via a color picker to match or contrast your brand palette. Together these controls let you fine-tune the Avatar Group widget so it looks intentional and on-brand rather than floating without definition.
How to Add a Border to Review Cards on Your Avatar Group Widget
Step 1: Open Your Widgets Dashboard
Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left sidebar, click Widgets to open your list of saved widgets.
Step 2: Edit Your Avatar Group Widget
Locate the Avatar Group widget you want to update. Click the Edit icon (pencil) on that widget to open the widget editor.
Step 3: Go to the Design Tab
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the panel. This tab contains all visual customization options for the widget, including layout, typography, and color settings.
Step 4: Find the Widget Color Customization Section
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Color Customization section. This section groups all color and border-related controls for the widget’s review cards.
Step 5: Enable the Show Review Card Border Toggle
Click the Show Review Card Border toggle to turn it on. The toggle turns active and three sub-options appear below it: Border Thickness, Border Radius, and Border Color.
Step 6: Set the Border Thickness
Use the Border Thickness slider or input field to choose a value between 1px and 12px. A value of 1px or 2px gives a subtle outline, while values of 4px and above create a bold, prominent frame around each card.
Step 7: Set the Border Radius
Click the Border Radius dropdown and choose from the available options: None for sharp square corners, or increasing sizes up to XX-Large for heavily rounded card corners. Match this to the overall corner style of your page or widget theme.
Step 8: Choose the Border Color
Click the Border Color swatch to open the color picker. Enter a hex code, use the eyedropper, or drag the color selector to pick a color that complements or contrasts your card background and page design.
Step 9: Save and Preview Your Widget
Click Save to apply your changes. Use the live preview panel to confirm the border appears as expected on the review cards in your Avatar Group widget. If you have already embedded the widget on a page, the update will reflect automatically.
What You Can Do Next
- Add a drop shadow to your review cards to complement the border and give the Avatar Group widget more depth on your page.
- Adjust the card background color in the Widget Color Customization section so the border color contrasts clearly against the card fill.
- Embed or re-embed the updated Avatar Group widget on your landing page, homepage, or product page to show the refreshed design to visitors.
