Overview
The Avatar Group widget displays a compact cluster of overlapping reviewer profile photos alongside a star rating count and a trust headline, giving visitors a quick, social-proof-at-a-glance experience. Because the avatars are stacked closely together, visual separation between individual photos plays a key role in making each reviewer feel distinct and recognisable rather than blending into a single indistinct group.
The Show Avatar Border toggle, found in the Widget Content Customization section of the Design tab, adds a colored outline around every reviewer profile photo in the cluster. When this option is on, an Avatar Border Color picker appears so you can choose a color that matches your brand or contrasts with your page background. The border visually separates each avatar from its neighbor, making the group feel polished and intentional while reinforcing the authenticity of the real reviewers behind the widget.
How to Show a Border Around Reviewer Avatars for Your Avatar Group Widget
Step 1: Open the Widgets Section
Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left-hand navigation, click Widgets to open your list of saved widgets.
Step 2: Edit Your Avatar Group Widget
Find your Avatar Group widget in the list and click the Edit button (pencil icon) next to it. The widget editor will open.
Step 3: Go to the Design Tab
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the panel. This tab contains all visual customization options for the widget, including layout, typography, and avatar styling.
Step 4: Find the Widget Content Customization Section
Within the Design tab, scroll down to the Widget Content Customization section. This section contains controls specific to how reviewer content, including profile photos, is displayed inside the widget.
Step 5: Enable the Show Avatar Border Toggle
Locate the Show Avatar Border toggle and switch it on. Once enabled, a colored border will immediately appear around each reviewer profile photo in the avatar cluster preview.
Step 6: Set the Avatar Border Color
With the toggle on, the Avatar Border Color picker appears directly below. Click the color swatch to open the color picker and choose a color that fits your brand palette. You can enter a hex code for precision or select a color visually. When you are happy with the result, save your widget to apply the change.
