Overview
The Strip Slider widget displays your review cards in a compact, continuously scrolling horizontal strip across the page. Because the cards move in a tight row with minimal spacing, visual separation between cards plays a critical role in readability. The Show Review Card Border toggle, found in the Widget Color Customization section of the Design tab, lets you draw a defined border around each card in the strip. This makes every card visually distinct as it scrolls past, preventing the content of adjacent cards from blending together and giving your strip a clean, finished appearance.
Once the toggle is on, three sub-options become available: Border Thickness (1px to 12px), Border Radius (None to XX-Large for rounded corners), and a Border Color picker. Together these controls let you match the card borders to your site’s design system, whether you prefer a subtle 1px outline, a bold colored frame, or softly rounded card corners that complement a modern layout.
How to Add a Border to Review Cards on Your Strip Slider Widget
Step 1: Open the Widgets Section
Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left sidebar, click Widgets to open the list of widgets you have created.
Step 2: Edit Your Strip Slider Widget
Find the Strip Slider widget you want to update and click the Edit icon next to it. The widget editor will open with a live preview of your scrolling strip.
Step 3: Go to the Design Tab
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the settings panel. This tab contains all visual and layout customization options for the strip.
Step 4: Find the Widget Color Customization Section
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Color Customization section. This section groups all color and border-related options for the widget’s review cards.
Step 5: Enable the Show Review Card Border Toggle
Click the Show Review Card Border toggle to turn it on. The toggle will highlight to indicate it is active, and three additional controls will appear beneath it: Border Thickness, Border Radius, and Border Color.
Step 6: Configure Border Thickness
Use the Border Thickness slider or input to choose a value between 1px and 12px. A value of 1px to 2px produces a subtle outline suitable for light-colored themes, while 4px or above creates a more prominent frame that stands out against the scrolling background.
Step 7: Configure Border Radius
Use the Border Radius control to choose the corner style for each card. Select None for sharp square corners, or choose a size from Small up to XX-Large for progressively rounder corners. Rounded corners can soften the look of the strip and work well with card-based or rounded-button design systems.
Step 8: Set the Border Color
Click the Border Color picker to open the color selector. Choose a color that complements your site’s palette. You can enter a hex code directly for precise brand color matching. The strip preview will update in real time as you adjust the color.
Step 9: Save and Publish
Once you are satisfied with the border settings, click Save to apply the changes. If the widget is already embedded on your site, the updated border style will appear automatically wherever the strip is displayed.
What You Can Do Next

- Adjust the strip scroll speed and card spacing to ensure the border remains clearly visible as cards move across the page.
- Customize the card background color in the Widget Color Customization section so it contrasts well with your chosen border color.
