Overview
The Floating Cards widget displays your reviews as animated notification-style cards that gently float and drift across the screen. Because each card is compact and contains a reviewer name, star rating, and short review text, the font you choose has a direct impact on how readable and polished those cards appear to visitors. A font that clashes with your site’s overall design can make the cards feel out of place, while the right font choice creates a seamless, professional impression.
The Font Family selector, found in the Advanced Customization section of the Design tab, lets you pick from a curated range of fonts to style the text inside every floating card. The Auto Capture option goes one step further by automatically detecting the primary font already in use on the page where the widget is embedded, so the cards inherit your site’s typography without any manual matching.
How to Change the Font on Your Floating Cards Widget
Step 1: Open the Widgets Section
Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left-hand navigation, click Widgets to see all the widgets you have created.
Step 2: Edit Your Floating Cards Widget
Locate the Floating Cards widget you want to update. Click the Edit button (or the pencil icon) next to that widget to open its settings.
Step 3: Go to the Design Tab
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the settings panel. This tab contains all the visual customization options for your Floating Cards widget.
Step 4: Expand the Advanced Customization Section
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Advanced Customization section. Click on it to expand the section and reveal additional styling controls, including the Font Family selector.
Step 5: Select a Font Family
Click the Font Family dropdown to browse the available font options. Choose any font from the list to apply it to the text in your floating cards. If you want the widget to automatically use the same font as your website, select Auto Capture from the dropdown. Auto Capture detects the primary font on the page where the widget is embedded and applies it to the card text, keeping your branding consistent without manual effort.
Step 6: Save Your Changes
Once you are satisfied with your font selection, click Save to apply the changes. Your Floating Cards widget will now display review text using the chosen font wherever it is embedded on your site.
What You Can Do Next
- Adjust the text color of your floating cards to complement the new font and reinforce your brand palette.
- Explore other Advanced Customization options in the Design tab, such as card size and animation speed, to fine-tune how the cards drift across the screen.
- Preview the widget on your live site after saving to confirm the Auto Capture font matches your page typography as expected.
- Create a second Floating Cards widget with a different font for an A/B test, then compare visitor engagement to decide which style performs better.
