Overview
The Floating Cards widget displays your reviews as animated notification-style cards that gently float and drift across the screen. Because each card is always in motion, text legibility is critical: a color that blends into the background or clashes with the card surface makes the review hard to read before the card drifts away.
The Widget Color Customization section gives you two dedicated text color controls for this widget. The Primary Text Color applies to the review title and body text, which is the main content a visitor reads. The Secondary Text Color applies to the reviewer name, date, and any metadata shown beneath the review. Setting these two colors independently lets you create a clear visual hierarchy on each floating card, drawing the eye to the review content first while keeping attribution details visible but distinct.
How to Change the Text Color for Your Floating Cards Widget
Step 1: Open the Widgets Section
Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left-hand navigation, click Widgets to open the list of all widgets you have created.
Step 2: Edit Your Floating Cards Widget
Find your Floating Cards widget in the list. Click the Edit button (or the widget name) to open the widget editor.
Step 3: Go to the Design Tab
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the settings panel. This tab contains all visual customization options for the widget.
Step 4: Find the Widget Color Customization Section
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Color Customization section. This section contains the color controls specific to the Floating Cards widget’s appearance.
Step 5: Set the Primary Text Color
Click the Primary Text Color color picker. This color controls the review title and body text displayed on each floating card. Choose a color that contrasts clearly with your card background so visitors can read the review content as it drifts across the screen. You can enter a hex code directly or use the color palette to select a value.
Step 6: Set the Secondary Text Color
Click the Secondary Text Color color picker. This color applies to the reviewer name, date, and metadata displayed below the review body on each card. Choose a color that is readable but visually subordinate to the primary text, so the review content remains the focal point on each animated card.
Step 7: Save Your Changes
Once you are satisfied with both color selections, click Save to apply them to your Floating Cards widget. The updated text colors will be visible immediately in the live preview and on any page where the widget is embedded.
What You Can Do Next
- Adjust the card background color to ensure strong contrast with your new text colors, so each floating card remains easy to read as it animates across the screen.
- Preview the Floating Cards widget on different background colors used on your site to confirm the primary and secondary text colors remain legible in every context.
- Explore other Design tab options for the Floating Cards widget, such as card size, animation speed, and display position, to further refine how reviews appear to visitors.
- Copy the updated widget embed code from the widget editor and replace the existing snippet on your website to ensure the new text color settings are live.
