Overview
The Strip Slider widget displays your reviews as a compact horizontal row of cards that scrolls continuously across the page. Because the widget is always in motion and occupies a narrow band of your layout, the font you choose plays a direct role in how readable and polished each review card looks as it passes by. A font that clashes with the rest of your site can make the strip feel out of place, while a well-matched font blends the widget seamlessly into your page design.
The Font Family selector is found in the Advanced Customization section of the Design tab. It gives you a curated list of font options to apply across all text in the Strip Slider, including reviewer names, star labels, and review body text. The Auto Capture option is particularly useful: it automatically detects the font your website is already using and applies that same font to the widget, so the strip looks native to your site without any manual selection.
How to Change the Font on Your Strip Slider Widget
Step 1: Open the Widgets Section
Log in to your Feedspace account and navigate to the Widgets section from the main sidebar. You will see a list of all the widgets you have created.
Step 2: Edit Your Strip Slider Widget
Find the Strip Slider widget you want to update and click the edit icon next to it. This opens the widget editor where you can adjust its content and appearance.
Step 3: Go to the Design Tab
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the panel. This tab contains all visual customization options for the Strip Slider, including colors, spacing, and typography settings.
Step 4: Locate the Advanced Customization Section
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Advanced Customization section. This section contains additional styling controls, including the Font Family selector.
Step 5: Select a Font Family
Click the Font Family dropdown to open the list of available fonts. Browse through the options and click any font to preview how it looks across the scrolling review cards in the Strip Slider. If you want the widget to automatically match the font your website uses, select Auto Capture from the list. Auto Capture detects your site’s existing font and applies it to the widget so the strip blends naturally into your page.
Step 6: Save Your Changes
Once you are happy with the selected font, click Save to apply the changes. The updated font will appear in your embedded Strip Slider widget on your website automatically.
What You Can Do Next
- Adjust the text color of your Strip Slider cards to complement your new font choice and maintain strong contrast as the strip scrolls.
- Customize other design settings on the Strip Slider, such as card background color and border radius, to build a fully cohesive look.
- Copy the updated embed code from the widget editor and replace the existing snippet on your website to ensure the latest design is live.
- Preview the Strip Slider on different screen sizes after saving to confirm the selected font renders clearly on both desktop and mobile layouts.
