Overview
The Strip Slider widget displays your reviews as a compact horizontal strip of cards that scrolls continuously across the page. Because cards are small and move in sequence, clear and well-contrasted text is essential for visitors to read review content at a glance before a card scrolls out of view.
The Widget Color Customization section gives you two separate text color controls for the Strip Slider. The Primary Text Color sets the color of the review title and body text, which is the main content a visitor reads inside each card. The Secondary Text Color sets the color of the reviewer name, date, and metadata displayed below the review body. Adjusting these two colors independently lets you create a clear visual hierarchy inside each scrolling card, making the review content stand out while keeping attribution details readable but visually subordinate.
How to Change the Text Color for Your Strip Slider Widget
Step 1: Open the Widgets Section
Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left sidebar, click Widgets to open your list of saved widgets.
Step 2: Edit Your Strip Slider Widget
Find your Strip Slider widget in the list. Click the Edit button (or the pencil icon) next to it to open the widget editor.
Step 3: Go to the Design Tab
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the panel. This tab contains all visual customization options for your Strip Slider, including layout, colors, and typography settings.
Step 4: Find the Widget Color Customization Section
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Color Customization section. This section contains the color controls specific to the Strip Slider cards.
Step 5: Set the Primary Text Color
Click the color picker next to Primary Text Color. This controls the color of the review title and body text on each scrolling card. Enter a hex code, use the color picker, or select a color from the palette to match your brand. The live preview updates immediately so you can see how the text appears on the cards before saving.
Step 6: Set the Secondary Text Color
Click the color picker next to Secondary Text Color. This controls the color of the reviewer name, date, and any metadata shown below the review body on each card. Choose a color that complements the Primary Text Color while remaining visually distinct, so visitors can easily tell the review content apart from the attribution details.
Step 7: Save Your Changes
Once you are satisfied with both color selections, click Save to apply the changes. The updated text colors will be reflected on your live Strip Slider widget wherever it is embedded on your site.
What You Can Do Next
- Adjust the card background color of your Strip Slider to ensure your chosen text colors contrast well against the card surface.
- Explore other design settings in the Design tab, such as card size and spacing, to refine how each review card looks as it scrolls across the strip.
- Copy the updated embed code for your Strip Slider and replace the existing snippet on your website so the new text colors appear for your visitors.
- Preview your Strip Slider on both desktop and mobile viewports to confirm the text colors remain readable at all screen sizes.
