Each avatar in an Avatar Group widget belongs to one of your reviews, so the review order sets the avatar order. In Feedspace you change it on the Change Order sub-tab, by dragging reviews or sorting them by date.
The first avatars in the row are the ones people notice. Putting reviewers with real profile photos at the front, rather than plain initials, makes the group look like real customers at a glance.
Go to Widgets in the sidebar and click the Edit (pencil) icon on your Avatar Group. The editor opens on Select Reviews.
In the left panel, click the Change Order sub-tab to list the reviews in your widget in their current order.
Hold the drag handle on a review and move it up or down. The top review supplies the first avatar in the row.
Open Sort By next to the Change Order heading and pick Newest First or Oldest First. You can still drag reviews afterwards.
