Overview
The Avatar Blocks widget displays your reviewer testimonials in a structured block grid, placing each reviewer’s avatar alongside their name, star rating, and review text in a clean side-by-side layout. Because star ratings appear prominently inside each block card, their color has a strong visual impact on how the entire grid feels to visitors.
Feedspace gives you two dedicated color controls for the star icons in the Avatar Blocks widget: Star Rating Color, which sets the fill color of the star icons, and Star Rating Border Color, which sets the outline or border color around each star. Together these two options let you align the star icons with your brand palette, ensuring the rating indicators blend naturally with the rest of your widget design rather than standing out with default colors.
How to Change the Star Rating Color for Your Avatar Blocks Widget
Step 1: Open the Widgets Section
Log in to your Feedspace account and navigate to the Widgets section from the main sidebar. You will see a list of all the widgets you have created across your workspace.
Step 2: Edit Your Avatar Blocks Widget
Find your Avatar Blocks widget in the list and click the Edit button next to it. This opens the widget editor where you can adjust the content and design settings for that widget.
Step 3: Go to the Design Tab
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the panel. The Design tab contains all visual customization options for your Avatar Blocks widget, including colors, fonts, and layout settings.
Step 4: Find the Widget Color Customization Section
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Color Customization section. This section groups all the color pickers that control the appearance of individual elements inside your Avatar Blocks widget cards.
Step 5: Set the Star Rating Color and Star Rating Border Color
Within the Widget Color Customization section, locate the Star Rating Color picker and click it to choose the fill color for your star icons. This color fills the inside of each star and is the most visible color on the rating display. Next, locate the Star Rating Border Color picker and click it to choose the outline color that appears around each star icon. You can enter a hex code directly, use the color palette, or adjust the hue and opacity slider to get the exact shade you need for each option.
Step 6: Save Your Changes
Once you are satisfied with both color selections, click the Save button to apply the changes. Your Avatar Blocks widget will immediately reflect the updated star rating fill and border colors across all reviewer blocks in the grid.
What You Can Do Next
- Show or hide star ratings entirely on your Avatar Blocks widget to control whether ratings appear in the grid cards.
