Overview
The Strip Slider widget displays your reviews as a compact horizontal row of cards that scrolls continuously across the page. Because star ratings appear prominently inside each scrolling card, their color has a direct impact on how the widget looks as it moves across your site. Two color pickers in the Widget Color Customization section let you control exactly how those stars appear: Star Rating Color sets the fill color of the star icons, and Star Rating Border Color sets the outline or border color around each star icon.
Matching the star fill and border colors to your brand palette ensures the Strip Slider feels like a native part of your page rather than a generic embed. For example, you can use your brand’s primary color as the fill and a complementary shade as the border, creating a polished, consistent look as the cards scroll past your visitors.
How to Change the Star Rating Color for Your Strip Slider Widget
Step 1: Open the Widgets Section
Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left-hand navigation, click Widgets to open the list of all widgets you have created.
Step 2: Edit Your Strip Slider Widget
Find the Strip Slider widget you want to update. Click the Edit button (or the pencil icon) next to that widget to open the widget editor.
Step 3: Go to the Design Tab
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the settings panel. This tab contains all visual customization options for your Strip Slider widget.
Step 4: Find the Widget Color Customization Section
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Color Customization section. This section groups together all color controls for the Strip Slider, including the star rating color pickers.
Step 5: Set the Star Rating Color and Star Rating Border Color
You will see two color pickers in this section:
- Star Rating Color: Click this color picker to choose the fill color applied to the interior of the star icons displayed on each scrolling review card.
- Star Rating Border Color: Click this color picker to choose the outline or border color drawn around each star icon on the review cards.
Use the color palette, enter a hex code, or adjust the opacity slider to dial in the exact shade you want for each setting. The live preview in the editor updates as you make changes, so you can see exactly how the star icons will look inside the scrolling cards before saving.
Step 6: Save Your Changes
Once you are satisfied with both color choices, click the Save button to apply the updated star rating colors to your Strip Slider widget. The new colors will appear on your site wherever the widget is embedded.
