Overview
The Cross Slider widget presents each review one at a time with cross-directional slide transitions, placing every card in full focus so visitors can read it without distraction. Because the card takes up the entire viewing area during each transition, the text colors you choose carry more visual weight than they would in a multi-card grid layout. Two dedicated color pickers in the Widget Color Customization section let you control exactly how that text looks.
The Primary Text Color controls the review title and body text, which are the longest and most prominent pieces of text on each card. The Secondary Text Color controls the reviewer name, date, and any metadata displayed below the review body. Tuning these two values independently lets you create a clear visual hierarchy: a high-contrast primary color draws the reader into the review content, while a softer secondary color keeps the attribution details visible without competing for attention.
How to Change the Text Color for Your Cross Slider Widget
Step 1: Open the Widgets Section
Log in to your Feedspace account and navigate to the Widgets section from the main sidebar. You will see a list of all the widgets you have created.
Step 2: Edit Your Cross Slider Widget
Find the Cross Slider widget you want to update and click the Edit button next to it. This opens the widget editor where you can adjust its content and design settings.
Step 3: Go to the Design Tab
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the panel. This tab contains all the visual customization options for your Cross Slider widget, including layout, colors, and typography settings.
Step 4: Find the Widget Color Customization Section
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Color Customization section. This section groups all the color pickers for the Cross Slider widget together in one place.
Step 5: Set the Primary Text Color
Click the color picker next to Primary Text Color. This color applies to the review title and body text on every card in the slider. Choose a color that offers strong contrast against the card background so the review content is easy to read as each card slides into focus.
Step 6: Set the Secondary Text Color
Click the color picker next to Secondary Text Color. This color applies to the reviewer name, date, and metadata shown below the review body. A slightly muted or lighter shade compared to the primary color works well here, helping visitors quickly distinguish the reviewer details from the main review content.
Step 7: Save and Publish
Once you are satisfied with both color selections, click Save to apply the changes. Your Cross Slider widget will immediately reflect the new text colors wherever it is embedded on your site.
What You Can Do Next
- Adjust the card background color to complement your new text colors and complete the look of each full-focus review card in the Cross Slider.
- Preview the Cross Slider widget on a dark and a light background on your site to confirm both the primary and secondary text colors remain readable in each context.
- Explore other design options in the Design tab, such as border radius and card spacing, to further refine the appearance of your Cross Slider widget.
- Copy the updated embed code from the widget editor and replace the existing snippet on any page where the Cross Slider is published to make sure visitors see the latest design.
