The Cross Slider widget displays your reviews one at a time, using cross-directional slide transitions to bring each card fully into focus before moving to the next. Because every review occupies the entire display area during its turn, the card background color has a strong visual impact: it fills the whole widget frame and sets the tone for the text, star ratings, and reviewer details layered on top of it.
The Card Background Color option in the Widget Color Customization section lets you choose a solid fill color for every review card in the Cross Slider. Selecting a color that contrasts well with your text keeps each full-focus card easy to read, while matching your brand palette makes the widget feel native to your site rather than a third-party embed. On some widgets a Card on Hover Color picker also appears alongside this setting, letting you define a separate fill color for when a visitor hovers over a card.
Log in to your Feedspace account and navigate to the Widgets section from the main sidebar. You will see a list of all the widgets you have created.
Locate the Cross Slider widget you want to update and click the Edit button next to it. This opens the widget editor where you can adjust its content and appearance settings.
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the panel. This tab contains all visual customization options for the Cross Slider, including layout, typography, and color settings.
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Color Customization section. This section groups all color pickers for the Cross Slider widget in one place, making it easy to coordinate your color choices.
Click the Card Background Color picker. A color palette and hex input field will appear. Choose a color by clicking a swatch, entering a hex code directly, or using the color spectrum slider. Your selection is applied to the fill of every review card in the Cross Slider. If a Card on Hover Color picker is also visible, you can set a separate color that appears when a visitor hovers over the card, adding an interactive highlight to each full-focus transition.
Once you are satisfied with your color choice, click Save to apply the update. The new card background color will take effect immediately on any page where the Cross Slider widget is embedded.
