Overview

The Avatar Card Carousel widget shows each review as a tall card led by the reviewer’s photo or initials, with the cards sliding sideways across your page. On a site with a dark background, a light widget can look pasted in, and dark mode fixes that with one switch.

Turning on Enable Dark Mode in the Widget Color Customization section gives the widget a dark look. If your text colors are still the defaults, Feedspace swaps them for light ones so the reviews stay readable.

How to turn on dark mode for your Avatar Card Carousel widget

Step 1: Go to Widgets

Step 2: Open the widget editor

Find your Avatar Card Carousel widget and click the Edit (pencil) icon on its card.

Step 3: Switch to Design

Click Design at the top of the editor.

Step 4: Scroll to Widget Color Customization

Scroll down the panel on the right to the Widget Color Customization section.

Step 5: Turn on Enable Dark Mode

Switch on Enable Dark Mode. The preview changes to the dark style straight away.

Step 6: Save the widget

Click Save & Next. Any page that already embeds this widget shows the change on its next load, with no embed code to replace.

Where did the border, shadow and color options go?

Enable Dark Mode hides the rest of Widget Color Customization, because dark mode sets those colors for you. Turn it off and the controls come back with your previous choices.
