How Do I Enable Dark Mode on My Avatar Slider Widget in Feedspace?

Last updated on June 12, 2026

Overview

The Avatar Slider widget displays each reviewer’s testimonial in a sliding format that places their avatar image front and center, drawing the visitor’s eye directly to the person behind the review. Because this layout gives significant visual weight to each card’s background and surrounding space, the color scheme of the widget has a strong impact on how polished and on-brand it looks on your page.

The Dark Mode toggle, found in the Widget Color Customization section of the Design tab, switches the entire Avatar Slider to a dark background theme. When you turn it on, Feedspace automatically adjusts the card colors and text so that reviewer names, star ratings, and testimonial copy all remain clearly legible against the darker surface. This means you do not need to manually restyle every element; a single toggle produces a cohesive dark visual style that suits dark-themed websites, landing pages, or any context where a light widget would feel out of place.

How to Enable Dark Mode for Your Avatar Slider Widget

Step 1: Open the Widgets Section

Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left-hand navigation, click Widgets to open the list of all widgets you have created.

Step 2: Edit Your Avatar Slider Widget

Locate the Avatar Slider widget you want to update. Click the Edit button (or the widget’s name) to open the widget editor.

Step 3: Go to the Design Tab

Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the panel. This tab contains all visual customization options for your Avatar Slider widget, including layout, typography, and color settings.

Step 4: Find the Widget Color Customization Section

Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Color Customization section. This section groups all color-related controls for the widget, including the Dark Mode option.

Step 5: Enable the Dark Mode Toggle

Click the Dark Mode toggle to switch it on. The widget preview will immediately update to show a dark background theme, with card colors and text automatically adjusted for contrast and readability. Once you are satisfied with the result, click Save to apply the changes.

What You Can Do Next

  • Adjust the card background color to a custom dark shade that better matches your brand by visiting the card background color settings in the same Widget Color Customization section.
  • Copy the updated embed code from the widget editor and replace the existing snippet on your website so visitors immediately see the dark-themed Avatar Slider.
  • Preview the Avatar Slider on different page backgrounds using the live preview panel to confirm that the dark theme looks consistent across your site’s color palette.
  • Explore other design options in the Design tab, such as font style or slider speed, to further refine how the Avatar Slider presents each reviewer’s testimonial.
