The Vertical Scroll widget displays your review cards in a single column that scrolls continuously and loops seamlessly, so visitors always see fresh testimonials without any manual interaction. Because the feed never stops moving, individual cards only occupy the screen for a short time. When a review contains several paragraphs of text, its card grows tall, slowing the pace of the scroll and pushing other reviews further down the queue.
The Shorten Long Reviews toggle in the Widget Content Customization section solves this problem. When it is turned on, Feedspace automatically truncates review text after a few lines and adds a read more link at the cut-off point. Visitors who want to read the full review can click that link to expand the card in place. The result is a consistently compact, evenly paced scroll feed where every review card takes up roughly the same vertical space, keeping the overall presentation balanced and visually appealing regardless of how long each testimonial is.
Log in to your Feedspace account and navigate to the Widgets section from the left sidebar. You will see a list of all the widgets you have created.
Locate the Vertical Scroll widget you want to update and click the Edit button (or the pencil icon) next to it. This opens the widget editor where you can adjust both content and design settings.
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the settings panel. This tab contains all the visual and layout options for your Vertical Scroll widget, including content customization controls.
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Content Customization section. This section groups together all the toggles that control which elements appear on each review card in the feed.
Locate the Shorten Long Reviews toggle within the Widget Content Customization section and switch it on. Once enabled, any review whose text exceeds the display threshold will be automatically truncated in the scroll feed, with a read more link allowing visitors to expand the full text on demand.
Click Save to apply the change. Then use the live preview or visit the page where your Vertical Scroll widget is embedded to confirm that long reviews are now truncated with a read more link and that the scroll feed moves at a consistent, balanced pace.
