How Do I Show or Hide Star Ratings on My Avatar Group Widget in Feedspace?

Last updated on June 12, 2026

Overview

The Avatar Group widget displays a clustered row of reviewer avatars alongside a star rating count and a trust headline, giving visitors a compact social proof element at a glance. Each review card in the widget can show the individual star rating given by that reviewer, or it can show only the review text and reviewer information for a cleaner, more minimal appearance.

The Show Review Ratings toggle in the Widget Content Customization section controls this behaviour. Turning the toggle on adds the star rating to every review card inside the Avatar Group, reinforcing credibility directly within each testimonial. Turning it off removes the stars from the cards while leaving the overall rating count in the widget header untouched, which suits designs where you want a streamlined look without repeated rating icons.

How to Show or Hide Star Ratings on Your Avatar Group Widget

Step 1: Open the Widgets Section

Log in to your Feedspace account and navigate to the Widgets section from the main sidebar menu.

Step 2: Edit Your Avatar Group Widget

Locate the Avatar Group widget you want to update and click the Edit button for that widget to open the widget editor.

Step 3: Go to the Design Tab

Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the panel to access all design and customization options for the Avatar Group widget.

Step 4: Find the Widget Content Customization Section

Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Content Customization section. This section contains controls that determine which elements appear on each individual review card inside the Avatar Group.

Step 5: Configure the Show Review Ratings Toggle

Locate the Show Review Ratings toggle within the Widget Content Customization section and set it according to your preference:

  • Toggle on: Star ratings are displayed on each review card inside the Avatar Group, giving visitors immediate proof of each reviewer’s satisfaction alongside their testimonial.
  • Toggle off: Star ratings are hidden from the review cards. Only the review text and reviewer information are shown, creating a cleaner card layout while the aggregate rating count in the widget header remains visible.

Step 6: Save and Publish Your Changes

Once you have set the toggle to your preferred state, click Save to apply the changes. The Avatar Group widget embedded on your site will update automatically to reflect the new setting.

What You Can Do Next

  • Change the colour of the star ratings displayed on your Avatar Group widget to match your brand palette.
  • Customise the trust headline and reviewer avatar cluster layout to strengthen the social proof message in your Avatar Group widget.
  • Filter which reviews appear in your Avatar Group widget so only your highest-rated testimonials are shown to visitors.
