Overview
The Horizontal Scroll widget displays your review cards in a continuously looping ticker that moves across the page, giving visitors a dynamic, eye-catching stream of social proof. Because each card is compact and moves in sequence, every element on the card competes for limited visual space. The Show Review Ratings toggle, found in the Widget Content Customization section, lets you decide whether star ratings appear on each card as it scrolls past.
When the toggle is turned on, a star rating is shown on every review card alongside the review text and reviewer information, reinforcing credibility at a glance. When the toggle is turned off, the star rating is hidden and the card displays only the review text and reviewer details, giving each card a cleaner, more text-focused appearance. Choosing the right setting lets you balance visual richness with readability for the fast-moving scroll format.
How to Show or Hide Star Ratings for Your Horizontal Scroll Widget
Step 1: Open the Widgets Section
Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left-hand navigation, click Widgets to open your list of saved widgets.
Step 2: Edit Your Horizontal Scroll Widget
Find your Horizontal Scroll widget in the list. Click the Edit icon or the widget name to open the widget editor.
Step 3: Go to the Design Tab
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the panel. This tab contains all visual and layout customization options for the widget, including content display settings.
Step 4: Locate the Widget Content Customization Section
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Content Customization section. This section groups the toggles that control which elements appear on each review card in the scrolling ticker.
Step 5: Toggle Show Review Ratings On or Off
Find the Show Review Ratings toggle within the Widget Content Customization section. Click the toggle to switch it on or off:
- Toggle on: Star ratings will be displayed on each review card as it scrolls across the page.
- Toggle off: Star ratings will be hidden and only the review text and reviewer information will appear on each card.
Once you have set the toggle to your preferred state, save your changes. The live widget will immediately reflect the updated setting.
What You Can Do Next
- Change the star rating color on your Horizontal Scroll widget to match your brand palette and make ratings stand out as cards scroll past.
- Adjust the scroll speed and card spacing in the Design tab so the star ratings are visible long enough for visitors to register them before the next card appears.
- Preview the widget on your live page after toggling ratings on or off to confirm the card layout looks balanced at your chosen display size.
- Combine the Show Review Ratings setting with other Widget Content Customization toggles, such as reviewer name and profile photo visibility, to create the exact card appearance you want for the scrolling ticker.
