Overview
The Show Label toggle in the Floating Badge widget’s Content Customization settings controls whether a text label appears alongside the star rating on your badge, and which of two label styles it uses.
A label gives visitors a quick, readable summary next to the star rating instead of just a number. You might use the automatic label to reflect your real rating as it changes, or switch to a Top Rated label when your rating already reflects strong social proof and you want to highlight that directly.
Before you start
You will need a Floating Badge widget already set up before you can change its label. If you have not created one, follow How Do I Add a Floating Badge Widget in Feedspace first.
Steps to set the badge label
Step 1: Open your Floating Badge widget
Log in to your Feedspace account and click Widgets in the left sidebar. Find your Floating Badge widget’s card and click its Edit (pencil) icon to open the editor.
Step 2: Go to the Content Customization section
In the editor header, click Design, then scroll down to the Content Customization section of the settings panel.
Step 3: Turn on Show Label
Toggle Show Label on. A radio group appears with two options:
- Auto (based on rating): shows a label generated from your current average rating.
- Top Rated: shows a fixed Top Rated label, or a Top Rated on [platform] label when the badge’s review source is set to a specific platform.
Step 4: Choose a label option
Select the radio option that fits your badge. The live preview updates immediately so you can see how the label reads next to your star rating.
Step 5: Save your changes
Click Save & Next to save the Content Customization settings.
What’s next
Once your label is set, you can also choose a display language for the badge, or revisit the position and size settings to finish placing it on your page.
Common questions
What happens to the Top Rated on [platform] wording if I have not chosen a review source yet?
The platform name in the Top Rated label comes from whichever source you selected on the Review Source tab when you created the widget. Choose your review source first so the label reads correctly.
Can I show the badge with no label at all?
Yes. Leave Show Label turned off and the badge shows just the star rating without any accompanying text label.
