Overview
Badge Layout Customization is the section of the Floating Badge widget’s Design tab that controls where the badge sits on your page, how large it appears, and whether it shows on mobile screens at all.
Getting the position and size right matters because the badge floats over your page content. A badge placed in the wrong corner or sized too large can cover navigation elements or call to action buttons, so these controls let you fit it naturally into your landing page layout before you publish.
Before you start
This article assumes you already have a Floating Badge widget created. If you have not created one yet, see How Do I Add a Floating Badge Widget in Feedspace first.
Steps to set the position and size
Step 1: Open the widget editor
Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left sidebar, click Widgets, then click the Edit (pencil) icon on your Floating Badge widget’s card.
Step 2: Open the Design tab
Click the Design tab in the editor header. The Badge Layout Customization section appears at the top of the settings panel.
Step 3: Set the badge position
Use the Badge Position control to choose where the badge appears on your page:
A note below this control lets you know that widget positioning might not work on mobile devices, since the layout adapts on smaller screens.
Step 4: Set the badge size
Use the Badge Size control to choose how large the badge appears:
A note below this control lets you know the badge size will always show as Small on mobile devices, regardless of which size you choose here.
Step 5: Hide the badge on mobile, if needed
If you would rather not show the badge on smaller screens at all, toggle Hide on Mobile on. The live preview updates as you adjust each setting, so you can check how the badge looks before saving.
Step 6: Save your changes
Click Save & Next to save your layout settings.
What’s next
With the layout set, you can move on to choosing what label the badge shows, or set a display language for your visitors.
Common questions
Why does my badge look smaller on my phone than the size I chose?
The Badge Size setting always displays as Small on mobile devices, no matter which size you select in the editor. This keeps the badge from taking up too much space on a smaller screen.
Does turning on Hide on Mobile remove the badge from my site completely?
No. It only hides the badge on mobile screen sizes. The badge continues to show on desktop visitors as configured.
