How Do I Use Automation to Auto-Select Reviews on My Strip Slider Widget in Feedspace?

The Strip Slider widget in Feedspace displays your reviews in a compact horizontal strip of cards that slides across the page, making it well suited for tight spaces such as headers, footers, and sidebar sections. Because this widget is always in motion and highly visible, keeping it stocked with fresh, high-quality reviews matters more than it does for static layouts.

The Setup Automation button in the Select Reviews tab solves this by letting you define rules once. From that point forward, any new review in your account that matches your rules is automatically added to the Strip Slider, so the widget always feels active and current wherever it is placed on your page, with no manual re-selection required.

How to Set Up Automation for Your Strip Slider Widget

Step 1: Open Your Strip Slider Widget

1. Log in to your Feedspace account.
2. Click Share Reviews in the left sidebar, then select Widgets.
3. Locate your Strip Slider widget in the list and click the pencil (edit) icon to open the widget editor.

Step 2: Go to the Select Reviews Tab

Inside the widget editor, click the Select Reviews tab at the top of the page. This is where you manage which reviews appear in your Strip Slider, either by selecting them manually or by using automation rules.

Step 3: Open the Automation Panel

Click the Setup Automation button in the Select Reviews tab. The automation filter panel opens on the right side of the screen. Toggle automation on to activate it.

Step 4: Configure Your Filters

Choose the rules that determine which reviews are automatically added to the Strip Slider. You can apply one filter or combine several to be more precise:

• Star Ratings: Include only reviews rated 4 to 5 stars so the horizontal strip always showcases your strongest feedback.
• Review Sentiment: Filter by positive, neutral, or negative sentiment to control the tone of the content in the slider.
• Review Type: Limit the strip to video, audio, text, image, highlighted text, or favourite reviews.
• Keywords: Include reviews that contain specific words, or exclude reviews with certain terms, to keep the content focused.
• Reviewer Details: Only include reviews where the reviewer has a name, profile image, job role, or company for a more credible appearance in the strip.
• Review Forms: Pull only reviews collected from a specific form, useful if you have multiple collection campaigns.
• Auto-Imported Sources: Include reviews from platforms connected to your auto-import.
• Imported Review Sources: Filter by manually imported review platforms such as Google or Trustpilot.

Step 5: Save Your Automation Rules

Click Save in the automation panel to store your filter configuration. Then click Save & Next in the editor header to apply the changes to the widget. From this point, any new review in your account that matches your filters will be added to the Strip Slider automatically.

Resetting Automation

To remove your automation rules, open the automation panel and click Reset. This clears all filters. You can then toggle automation off or set up a fresh configuration.
