Overview
Deleting a customer in Feedspace permanently removes their contact record from your workspace. This action cannot be undone. If you only want to stop sending automated review requests without losing the record, consider archiving the customer instead.
Steps to Delete a Customer
- In the left sidebar, click Customers under the Workspace section.
- Find the customer you want to delete. Use the search bar or filters to locate them by name or email.
- Click on the customer’s row to open the Customer details panel on the right.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the top right of the Customer details panel.
- Select Delete from the dropdown.
- Confirm the deletion in the prompt that appears.
The customer is immediately removed from your workspace. They will no longer appear in any list, filter, or automation sequence.
What Happens After Deleting
- The contact record is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
- The customer is excluded from all active automation sequences immediately.
- Any reviews or testimonials the customer previously submitted remain in your Feedbox. Only the contact record is deleted, not their review content.
Common Questions
Is deleting the same as archiving?
No. Archiving keeps the customer record intact but pauses all automated contact. Deleting permanently removes the record with no way to restore it. Use archive when you want to pause contact, and delete only when you are certain you no longer need the record.
Will deleting a customer remove their reviews?
No. Deleting a customer only removes their contact record from the Customers module. Any testimonials or reviews they submitted are stored separately in your Feedbox and are not affected by this action.
Can I re-add a deleted customer later?
Yes. If you need the customer in your workspace again after deleting them, you can add them manually using the Add Manually tab in the Customers module, or re-import them from a CSV file.
What You Can Do Next
- If you are unsure about deleting, open the Customer details panel to review the record before taking action.
- Use the archive option instead of delete if you want to preserve the customer’s history while stopping automated contact.
