Overview
The Customers module in Feedspace includes a search bar that lets you find any contact instantly. As you type, the list filters in real time across customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, company names, and tags, so you do not need to scroll through your full contact list to locate someone.
How to Search for a Customer
- Log in to your Feedspace account.
- In the left sidebar, click Customers under the Workspace section.
- Click the search bar at the top of the customer list.
- Type a name, email address, or tag. The list filters in real time as you type.
- Click on any customer row to open their full details.
What You Can Search By
The search bar matches results across the following customer fields:
- Name: First name, last name, or full name.
- Email address: Full or partial email.
- Phone number: Full or partial phone number.
- Company name: The company the customer is associated with.
- Tags: Any tag assigned to the customer.
Tips for Better Search Results
- If a name search returns no results, try searching by email address instead. Email is the unique identifier for each customer record and is always present.
- Check your spelling. A small typo in a name or domain can cause a record to appear missing when it is not.
- If you added tags to your customers, searching by tag is a quick way to find everyone in a particular group at once.
- To see your full list again, clear the search bar by deleting the typed text.
Common Questions
Why does my search return no results?
If no results appear, the most likely causes are a spelling error in your search term, or searching by a field that was not filled in when the customer was added. Try searching by email address, which is required for every customer record. If you still see nothing, the customer may not yet be in your workspace, or they may have been archived.
Does search work on archived customers?
By default the Customers list shows only active customers. Archived customers do not appear in search results unless you switch to the archived view. If you cannot find a customer you expect to see, check whether they have been archived.
Can I search and filter at the same time?
Yes. You can type in the search bar while a filter is active. The results will reflect both the search term and the active filter together, letting you narrow down a segment to a specific person.
What You Can Do Next
- Click on a customer in the results to view and edit their full details.
- Use filters alongside search to narrow results by tag, reviewed status, or date added.
- If the customer you are looking for is not in the list, add them manually or import them from a CSV file.
