How Do I Automate Discord Notifications with Pabbly Connect?

Overview

Feedspace integrates with Discord through Pabbly Connect, letting you automatically send channel messages whenever new testimonials are received. This keeps your Discord community or team instantly updated without needing to check Feedspace manually.

Automation through Pabbly Connect is available on Professional and Business plans in Feedspace, and requires an API key for connection.

Step 1: Create a workflow in Pabbly Connect

1. Log in to your Feedspace dashboard.
2. Click Automation in the left sidebar, then click the Automation tab.
3. Click the Copy button next to the Automation Secret Key field.
4. Log in to Pabbly Connect, click + Create Workflow, then select Create from Scratch.
5. Enter a Workflow Name (e.g., Feedspace to Discord Notifications) in the Create Workflow dialog and click Create.
6. Click Add Trigger, search for Feedspace in the Choose App field and select it.
7. In the App Event dropdown, select New Testimonial.
8. Click Connect, select Add New Connection, enter a name in New Connection Name, paste your Automation Secret Key into the API Key field, then click Save.
9. Click Save & Send Test Request to confirm Pabbly Connect can fetch testimonial data from Feedspace.

Step 2: Connect Discord

1. Click the + button to add an action step.
2. Search for Discord and select it.
3. In the App Event dropdown, select Send Channel Message.
4. Click Connect, select Add New Connection, enter a name in New Connection Name, then log in to Discord.
   • You can log in via email and password or by scanning the QR code with your Discord mobile app.
5. Authorize Pabbly Connect to send messages to your Discord server.

Step 3: Configure the Discord message

1. Select the Channel where testimonial alerts should be posted (e.g., #general or #testimonials).
2. Compose the Message Text using dynamic fields from Feedspace. For example:
   • {{Reviewer Name}} has left a new testimonial!
   • View it here: {{Testimonial URL}}
3. (Optional) Configure additional settings:
   • Bot Username: enter a custom name to display as the message sender.
   • Avatar URL: add a custom icon for the bot message.
4. Click Test Step to confirm the message posts correctly to your Discord channel.

Step 4: Save and activate the workflow

After a successful test, click Save. Every new testimonial submitted in Feedspace will now automatically post a notification to your chosen Discord channel.
