How Do I Back Up Feedspace Testimonials to Google Drive with Pabbly Connect?

Overview

Connect Feedspace to Google Drive via Pabbly Connect to automatically upload each new testimonial file to a Drive folder. This creates an off-platform backup and makes it easy to share testimonials with your team or clients.

Automation through Pabbly Connect is available on Professional and Business plans in Feedspace, and requires an API key for connection.

Step 1: Create a workflow in Pabbly Connect

1. Log in to your Feedspace dashboard.
2. Click Automation in the left sidebar, then click the Automation tab.
3. Click the Copy button next to the Automation Secret Key field.
4. Log in to Pabbly Connect, click + Create Workflow, then select Create from Scratch.
5. Enter a Workflow Name (e.g., Feedspace to Google Drive Backup) in the Create Workflow dialog and click Create.
6. Click Add Trigger, search for Feedspace in the Choose App field and select it.
7. In the App Event dropdown, select New Testimonial.
8. Click Connect, select Add New Connection, enter a name in New Connection Name, paste your Automation Secret Key into the API Key field, then click Save.
9. Click Save & Send Test Request to confirm Pabbly Connect can fetch testimonial data from Feedspace.

Step 2: (Optional) Filter for video testimonials only

If you only want to back up video files, add a filter step:

1. Click + and add a Filter step.
2. Set the condition: Testimonial Type, Equals, Video.
3. Only testimonials matching this condition will proceed to the Google Drive upload step.

Step 3: Connect Google Drive

1. Click + to add an action step.
2. Search for Google Drive and select it.
3. In the App Event dropdown, select Upload File.
4. Click Connect, select Add New Connection, enter a name in New Connection Name, then sign in with your Google account to authorize Pabbly Connect.

Step 4: Configure the upload

1. Select the Drive (My Drive or a Shared Drive).
2. Select or create the destination Folder, e.g., Feedspace / Video Testimonials.
3. Map the File URL field from the Feedspace trigger to the File input (the video file URL).
4. (Optional) Set a dynamic File Name, for example:
   • {{Reviewer Name}} - {{Created At}}.mp4
5. Leave Convert to Google Docs format as No to preserve the original video file.
6. Click Test Step to confirm the file uploads to your Drive folder.

Step 5: Save and activate the workflow

After a successful test, click Save. New Feedspace testimonials will now automatically upload to your Google Drive folder.

Can I back up text testimonials as well as video?

Yes. Remove the filter step and the workflow will trigger for all testimonial types. For text testimonials, map the text content to a file field or use a different action instead of uploading a video file.

Can I save files to a shared Google Drive instead of My Drive?

Yes. When configuring the upload step, select your shared drive from the Drive dropdown.
