How Do I Automate Telegram Notifications with Pabbly Connect?

Overview

Feedspace integrates with Telegram through Pabbly Connect, allowing you to receive instant Telegram messages whenever a new testimonial is submitted in your workspace. Your team gets real-time alerts without needing to check Feedspace manually.

Automation through Pabbly Connect is available on Professional and Business plans in Feedspace, and requires an API key for connection.

Step 1: Create a Telegram bot

Pabbly Connect sends Telegram messages via a Telegram Bot. If you don’t have one yet:

1. Open Telegram and search for @BotFather.
2. Send the command /newbot and follow the instructions to name your bot.
3. BotFather will provide a Bot Token. Copy and save it.
4. Add your new bot to the group or channel where you want notifications sent, and copy the Chat ID.

Step 2: Create a workflow in Pabbly Connect

1. Log in to your Feedspace dashboard.
2. Click Automation in the left sidebar, then click the Automation tab.
3. Click the Copy button next to the Automation Secret Key field.
4. Log in to Pabbly Connect, click + Create Workflow, then select Create from Scratch.
5. Enter a Workflow Name (e.g., Feedspace to Telegram Notifications) in the Create Workflow dialog and click Create.
6. Click Add Trigger, search for Feedspace in the Choose App field and select it.
7. In the App Event dropdown, select New Testimonial.
8. Click Connect, select Add New Connection, enter a name in New Connection Name, paste your Automation Secret Key into the API Key field, then click Save.
9. Click Save & Send Test Request to confirm Pabbly Connect can fetch testimonial data from Feedspace.

Step 3: Connect Telegram and configure the message

1. Click the + button to add an action step.
2. Search for Telegram Bot and select it.
3. In the App Event dropdown, select Send Text Message.
4. Click Connect, select Add New Connection, enter a name in New Connection Name, then enter your Bot Token from BotFather and click Save.
5. Enter the Chat ID of the group or channel where messages should be sent.
6. Compose the Message Text using dynamic fields from Feedspace. For example:
   • New testimonial from {{Reviewer Name}} ({{Star Rating}}★). View: {{Testimonial URL}}
7. Click Test Step to verify the message is delivered to your Telegram chat.

Step 4: Save and activate the workflow

After a successful test, click Save. Every new testimonial submitted in Feedspace will now send an automatic message to your Telegram chat.
