How Do I Automate WhatsApp Notifications with Zapier?

Overview

Feedspace integrates with WhatsApp Notifications through Zapier, allowing you to send automated WhatsApp messages whenever a new testimonial is received. Instant updates are delivered straight to your phone, keeping you and your team responsive to customer feedback.

Automation through Zapier is available on Professional and Business plans in Feedspace, and requires an API key for connection.

Step 1: Connect Feedspace to Zapier

1. Log in to your Feedspace dashboard, click Automation in the left sidebar, then open the Automation tab and click Copy next to your Automation Secret Key.
2. Log in to your Zapier account. Click + Create, then select Zaps.
3. Click the Trigger block. A search box opens. Type Feedspace and select it from the results.
4. Choose New Testimonial as the trigger event.
5. In the Account field, click Sign in. A popup opens. Paste your Automation Secret Key into the API Key field and click Connect.
6. Test the trigger to confirm Zapier can fetch testimonials from Feedspace.

Step 2: Connect WhatsApp Notifications

1. Add an Action Step and choose WhatsApp Notifications as the app.
2. Select Send Message as the action event.
3. Click Sign in.
4. Enter your WhatsApp number (e.g., +19393939393).
5. You’ll receive an OTP code on WhatsApp. Enter the OTP in Zapier to verify your number.

Step 3: Configure WhatsApp message

1. Select a message template to use (e.g., New Message). Example: “New message from [Name]. Reply now at: [Link to reply].”
2. Map Feedspace fields into the message:
   • Name: {{Reviewer Name}}
   • Link to reply: {{Review Public URL}}
3. Test the step to confirm the WhatsApp message is sent correctly.

Step 4: Turn on your Zap

After testing, click Publish. Every time a testimonial is submitted in Feedspace, an automated WhatsApp message will be delivered to your configured number.

• Set up a second Zap to also send Telegram notifications for the same testimonials.
• Add a Filter by Zapier step before the WhatsApp action to send only video testimonials.

Common questions

Where do I find my Feedspace API key for Zapier?

Go to Automation in the left sidebar, then open the Automation tab. Your Automation Secret Key is shown there. Click Copy and paste it into Zapier when prompted.

Can I send WhatsApp notifications for all testimonial types, not just video?

Yes. The filter step is optional. Remove it (or skip adding it) and all new testimonials, regardless of type, will trigger the WhatsApp message.
