How Do I Back Up Feedspace Video Testimonials to Dropbox with Zapier?

Overview

Connect Feedspace to Dropbox via Zapier to auto-upload each new video testimonial into a Dropbox folder. This gives you an off-platform backup and makes it easy to share files with your team.

Automation through Zapier is available on Professional and Business plans in Feedspace, and requires an API key for connection.

Step 1: Connect Feedspace to Zapier

1. Log in to your Feedspace dashboard, click Automation in the left sidebar, then open the Automation tab and click Copy next to your Automation Secret Key.
2. Log in to your Zapier account. Click + Create, then select Zaps.
3. Click the Trigger block. A search box opens. Type Feedspace and select it from the results.
4. Choose New Testimonial as the trigger event.
5. In the Account field, click Sign in. A popup opens. Paste your Automation Secret Key into the API Key field and click Connect.
6. Test the trigger to confirm Zapier can fetch testimonials from Feedspace.

Step 2: (Optional) Add a filter for video testimonials

1. Add a Filter by Zapier step.
2. Condition: Testimonial Type, (Text) Exactly matches, Video.
3. This ensures only video testimonials are sent to Dropbox.

Step 3: Connect Dropbox

1. Add an Action Step and choose Dropbox as the app.
2. Select Upload File as the action event.
3. Click Sign in, log in to Dropbox (via Google, Apple, or email), and authorize Zapier to upload files into your Dropbox.

Step 4: Configure upload settings

1. Space: leave as Default unless you’re using Dropbox Business.
2. Folder: select or create a folder (e.g., /Feedspace/Video Testimonials).
3. File: map the video file field from Feedspace (Media File URL).
4. Overwrite: choose True if you want Zapier to overwrite files with the same name, otherwise set False.
5. (Optional) File name and extension: customize the file naming, e.g., {{Reviewer Name}}_{{Created At}}.mp4.
6. Test the step to confirm a video uploads into your Dropbox folder.

Step 5: Turn on the Zap

Once testing is successful, publish the Zap. Each new Feedspace video testimonial will automatically be backed up to your selected Dropbox folder.
