How to Automate Testimonials Backup to Google Drive with Zapier Integration

Overview

Connect Feedspace to Google Drive via Zapier to auto-upload each new video testimonial into a Drive folder. This gives you an off-platform backup and makes it easy to share files with your team.

Note: Automation through Zapier is available only on Professional and Business Plans in Feedspace, and requires an API key for connection.

Step 1 – Connect Feedspace to Zapier

  1. Log in to your Zapier account and create a new Zap.
  2. Select Feedspace as the trigger app.
  3. Choose New Testimonial as the trigger event.
  4. You’ll be prompted to allow Zapier to access your Feedspace account.
    • Enter your Feedspace API Key (available in your workspace under Automation).
  5. Test the connection to ensure Zapier can successfully fetch testimonials.

Step 2 – (Optional) Filter for video only

  1. Add a step: Filter by Zapier.
  2. Condition: Testimonial Type → (Text) Exactly matches → Video.
  3. This ensures only video testimonials proceed to Drive.

Step 3 – Connect Google Drive

  1. Add an Action step and select Google Drive.
  2. Action event: Upload File.
  3. Click Connect and sign in with your Google account to authorize Zapier.

Step 4 – Configure the upload

  1. Drive: choose the account/drive.
  2. Folder: pick (or create) a destination folder, e.g., /Feedspace/Video Testimonials.
  3. File: map the file field from the Feedspace trigger (the video file or file URL).
  4. (Optional) File name: use dynamic values, e.g.,
    {{Reviewer Name}} - {{Created At}}.mp4
  5. Convert to Google Docs? Leave No (keep original video format).
  6. Click Test action to confirm the file uploads to the chosen folder.

Step 5 – Turn the Zap on

If the test succeeds, click Publish. New Feedspace video testimonials will now upload automatically to Google Drive.
