How Do I Create HubSpot Contacts from Feedspace Testimonials with Zapier?

Overview

With Zapier, each testimonial collected in Feedspace can create a contact in HubSpot, filled in with the details the reviewer shared.

Marketing and sales teams use this to keep happy customers in their CRM. A customer who just left a glowing review is a strong candidate for a case study, a referral request, or an upsell conversation, and having them in HubSpot means nobody has to copy their details over by hand.

Before you start

You’ll need a Feedspace Professional or Business plan to use automation, plus a Zapier account and access to your HubSpot account.

Step 1: Find your Automation Secret Key

1. Log in to your Feedspace dashboard and select Automation in the left sidebar to reach the Automation tab.
2. If the key area is blurred, click Generate Automation Secret Key first.
3. Copy the key with the copy icon next to the Automation Secret Key field.

Step 2: Connect Feedspace in Zapier

1. Start a new Zap in your Zapier account.
2. Select Feedspace as the trigger app, then choose New Testimonial as the event.
3. Link your Feedspace account using the Automation Secret Key from Step 1.
4. Test the trigger to bring in a sample testimonial.

Step 3: Create the contact in HubSpot

1. Add an action step, choose HubSpot as the app, and pick the event that creates a contact.
2. Sign in to HubSpot when Zapier asks you to connect your account.
3. Map the testimonial details you want to keep, such as the reviewer’s email and name, to the matching HubSpot contact properties. HubSpot’s own help pages explain which properties it requires.
4. Test the action, then open your HubSpot contacts to confirm the test contact is there.

Step 4: Switch on the Zap

Publish the Zap. From here on, each new testimonial adds its reviewer to HubSpot.

Which testimonial details can I send to HubSpot?

Any detail that appears in the sample testimonial Zapier loads when you test the trigger. What you see there depends on the questions your Feedspace form asks, so add a question to the form if you want to capture something extra, such as a company name.

Will reviewers from before I set up the Zap be added?

No. The Zap only creates contacts for testimonials that arrive after it is turned on.
