Overview
Seeing the same review listed more than once in your Feedbox is a common situation, and there is always a clear explanation for it. This article walks you through the two most likely causes and shows you exactly how to identify and remove the extra copy so your Feedbox stays clean and accurate.
Two Reasons a Review Can Appear More Than Once
Duplicate reviews in Feedspace are created in specific, predictable ways. Once you know which situation applies to you, resolving it takes only a moment.
Reason 1: The Review Was Both Imported and Submitted via a Form
When you import reviews from an external platform such as Google or Trustpilot, Feedspace creates an entry for each review it finds. If the same reviewer later submits a testimonial directly through one of your Feedspace collection forms, or if you had already collected their review through a form before running the import, Feedspace records that as a second, separate entry. Both entries are valid on their own, but they refer to the same person and the same experience, so you will want to keep only one.
Reason 2: The Import Was Run More Than Once for the Same Platform
Running an import for the same connected platform a second time will pull in all available reviews again, including any that were already imported in the first run. This means each review from that platform gets a second entry. This can happen if an import is triggered manually more than once, or if a connected automation re-runs an import step without deduplication logic in place.
How to Find and Remove the Duplicate
The quickest way to locate duplicates is to use the Labels filter in your Feedbox. Reviews imported from an external platform carry a label for that source (for example, “Google” or “Trustpilot”), while reviews collected through a Feedspace form carry a different label. Filtering by label lets you compare entries side by side and spot which ones match.
Once you have identified the extra copy, open the review options menu for that entry (the three-dot menu on the review card) and select the delete option. The original entry remains untouched.
If you have several duplicates to clear at once, the bulk operations feature is the most efficient route. Select all the entries you want to remove using the checkboxes in your Feedbox list view, then choose the bulk delete action. This lets you clean up many duplicates in a single step rather than removing them one by one.
What You Can Do Next
- Use the Labels filter in your Feedbox to group reviews by source and quickly spot any entries that appear more than once.
- Open the three-dot options menu on the duplicate review card and select delete to remove the extra copy while keeping the original.
- Use bulk operations to select and delete multiple duplicate entries at once if you have more than one or two to clean up.
- Review your import settings or connected automation workflows to make sure the same platform import is not being triggered more than once, preventing new duplicates from appearing in future.
