Overview
A transcript is the text version of what a reviewer says in a video or audio review. Feedspace reads the spoken words in the recording and writes them out so you can read, search, and reuse the review without watching it.
Sometimes the transcript comes out in a language you did not expect. This usually happens when the audio is unclear, when the speaker mixes two languages, or when background noise makes the speech hard to read. The text below explains why this happens and how to get a transcript that matches what was actually said.
Why the language can come out wrong
The transcript follows the language that is spoken in the recording. Clear audio in a single language transcribes best. When the speaker switches between languages mid-sentence, speaks quietly, or records in a noisy room, the detected language can be off, and the transcript text may not match what you heard.
How to fix it
You have two ways to correct a transcript that came out wrong.
- Regenerate the transcript. Log in to your Feedspace dashboard, click Feedbox in the left sidebar, and click the video or audio review to open its detail view, where the transcript text appears. Generating it again can produce a cleaner result, especially if the first attempt picked up background noise.
- Edit the text by hand. Open the review’s Edit option from the card dropdown or the detail dropdown, then correct the wording in the Review text field and click Save Changes. This lets you fix individual words or rewrite the whole transcript so it reads correctly.
If the transcript is consistently wrong across several reviews, email support@feedspace.io with a link to the review so the team can take a look.
What’s next
Once the transcript reads correctly, you can refine the rest of the review the same way. See how to edit a review in Feedspace to adjust the title, rating, or media, or use how to translate a review in Feedspace if you want the review shown in another language.
Common questions
Will editing the transcript change the original video or audio?
No. Editing the transcript only updates the text version of the review. The original recording stays exactly as the reviewer submitted it.
My reviewer spoke two languages in one recording. Can I still get an accurate transcript?
Mixed-language recordings are the hardest to read accurately. Regenerate the transcript first, and if parts are still off, open the review’s Edit option and correct the Review text field by hand.
The transcript is still wrong after I regenerate it. What should I do?
Correct it manually in the Review text field, then save. If the same problem keeps happening across multiple reviews, email support@feedspace.io with the review link so the team can investigate.
